Did you put bigger jets and a smaller angle on the metering rods in that AFB yet?

I really like seeing cars that are built to drive, without all the useless, waste-of-money stuff hung on the engine.

Though I'm not a Chevy fan, yours looks mighty fine.

loco383, it comes out to 10.8:1 by the compression ratio calculator and 336 cid......need to switch gears in rear end to be a little bit steeper i think.....took it out and ran it 1/4 mile though not a real accurate test speedo is off atleast 15 mph and ect but would say aprox 105mph in 1/4.....i got a 454 found might have to build for it[}:)][:D]

Yeah...I remember you talking about moving to town...how are you handling it? I'm in town too, now that we moved west. I don't like it too much.

Ecc, i like it, get to do a lot of things we never did before ...go to alot of school sports stuff... atleast home games. i do start calving here very soon i'll pry be staying at the farm house taking care of cows calving....there are quite afew farmers living in town yonger ones with wifes that works at a job in town....seems like its the trend around here....most houses in country are very old and not much of a house anyways mine, the main part was built in the very early 1900's pre 19 teens i would guess.....they are just shacks that cost alot of money to heat and cool can buy a pretty new house in town for a lot less than you can build one....guess that pry the main reason for the trend

You can use AFB jets and metering rods in an Edelbrock carb. Check with Jegs for a kit.

If they ddon't have one, maybe I have one laying around.
