New camera pix - test
I got a Best Buy gift card for my Birthday, and bought a little HP Photosmart M537 with 2 Gig of memory. We have a couple of bigger Sony digitals, but I never seem to have one with me when I want to take a pic. This new one fits in my pocket, so I hope I'll mostly carry it.
So... Here they are:

What's your dogs name?
Is that your wife? daughter? sister? mother? neighbor?..
Where is the pic taken?
What are the horses names? breed?
In other words, label them hon....tell us more about the pics...0 -
Either Camera is excellent or you have the knack. Nice pics!!! 0 -
Those were taken in the email mode - 480 X 240 ?? - the camera claims to be a 6 megapixal thingy.
The email mode is the lowest of, I think, five resolution settings.
Thanks for the complements on the pix and my place.
I tried to caption them, but it didn't work. So, top to bottom, here are the captions:
1)Perfect Dog Gretchen
2)Perfect Daughter Deanna, with hoss trailer and BBT (Big Black Truck).
3)North Northeast view
4)North Northwest view
5)Near hoss - Pandora - far hoss - Razz-Ma-Tazz
6)Damn bamboo stuff
7)Stuff I lug around
This little pichur taker makes all this pretty darned easy.
Prepare to be bored.

Nice pics.
And sized right too.
Thanks Doug.
Even if it is almost....flat....around those parts. [}:)][;)][:D][:D]0 -
Nice pics and pretty country too. Now we want to see a self portrait! 0 -
You might just regret that.
Besides, I don't wanna break my brand new camera !!
Doug0 -
Your dog would then be Gretchen Wilson ??
Nice pics. I'm not overly paranoid most of the time, but you might want to rethink having a picture with a daughter and a license plate that can be tracked back to her though. Can never be too careful.0 -
Perfect Daughter Deanna has twice discouraged assailants. Once with a shotgun, and once with the martial arts skill she has diligently studied. She will test for her Karate Black Belt in December.
I will not, nor will my family, yield to the trash elements of society.
If we must be hurt or killed by bad people, we will extract a heavy price from them.
I sincerely appreciate your concern, and you're right - better safe than sorry, and no need to invite trouble. I won't likely do this again.
Thank you.

Nice sharp pics Doug. Seems like a good deal on the camera [:D][:D] 0 -
Doug,
quote:6)Damn bamboo stuff
That stuff is actually Japanese Knotweed, and it is really invasive stuff. It is very difficult to kill (it took 5-years of applying Round-Up 6-times per year to finally kill a patch of the stuff at my mothers home in Astoria. It is found growing all over the western part of Oregon and Washington.

Nice pitures[^]0 -
I read 'we were soldiers once and young' excellent. 0 -
Nice looking Puppy Dog. 0 -
Thank y'all for the kind words.
Earl - It's a Beretta TomCat .32. I carry that stuff always when I'm within 5 miles of the house, add a .40 Star FireStar single stack from 5 miles to 15 miles, and add a Mossberg 12 guage shorty beyond that.
Not paranoid... just careful.

Doug: Nice pictures. It is so neat in that part of Oregon. Looks like you are on a hill and have that beautiful view. Nice to be in the country away from all the crazy folks. The city is where the lions share of the danger is not in the country. Its a rare event that you would experence any problems in your area.
Plus you have all of us bikers living just down the street to protect you. Just a phone call away!
Daughter is very pretty and I'll bet smart too! I can't imagine that she didn't have the guys lined up for dates to the prom! They must have knowledge of her Black Belt activities and were worried about getting a black eye if they got too frisky!
What is the ground shot? Is that the spot where the shed was going to be torn down? Thought you told me that before?0 -
Thanks for your kind words, Sig.
The ground shot is where the damned bamboo grows, which I now know is actually Japanese Knotweed, thanks to Bert H.
Since I moved to Yamhill County, Orygun from Floridia nearly twenty three years ago, I have had only one unexpected/uninvited person knocking on our door, and that was a next door (1/2 mile) neighbor boy wanting to paint and letter our mailbox.

Well did you let him ??? How come he wanted to do that, for community service or something?0 -
Looks great![^] Nice view as well! 0 -
Nice pics Doug,........don't you wish that the dogs eyes didn't show up that way?
I have a 7.1 MP, and I get the same thing no matter what I do,........have to "photoshop" them.
Nice view you have there also![;)]0 -
Living the dream Doug living the dream. 0 -
Amen !!
I kinda like the way the dogs' eyes look. Otherworldly, spooky. scary.
The camera has an anti red eye setting, but I haven't used it yet.
Doug0 -
Very true,...........a cute pooch! But I like them all, I am a big dog lover,.......greatest thing ever given to us, short of women,.......err, sometimes![;)] 0 -
Great pics DW,and thanks for sharing.
Deanna is very pretty!0 -
I think the pictures stink. Could be because I don't own the camera and wouldn't know how to post pictures if I did. [:)] 0 -
Nice pictures, Doug. 0 -
Nice pictures, looks like paradise to me. That 6th pic looks like a perfect spot to park my trailer. 0 -
