Anyone ever make a prediction and get laughed at?
A couple predictions that I've made (one as far back as 2004) came true this year. I got either laughed at or contradicted on both occasions. Ever refrain from rubbing a see-I-told-you-so in someone's face when your prediction came true? Let's hear crazy stuff that came true after you told someone it would. Maybe you wish you would have acted on something that you had a gut feeling about but didn't.
1. In 2004 I was telling folks that Guiliani was going to run for President and would probably be the best shot for the Republican candidacy. Guiliani wasn't even on anyone's radar at the time and I got laughed at. There were a million excuses why he wouldn't even put his name on a Republican ticket and a certain circle of politically-minded friends thought I was off my rocker.
Last September I was back home and saw a structure going up. It was a for-the-rich-only apartment building selling single apartments starting at $400,000 apiece. It's not even in a wealthy neighborhood! I was discussing this atrocity waiting to happen with friends who were talking about how great it would be to get in on something and then sell it for a huge profit down the road. I predicted that what I called the "housing bubble" would pop because the market was just way too hot. Now I have 2 friends whose houses are in foreclosure because they were too stupid to see past an A.R.M. Once again, they pretty much laughed at the idea when I mentioned it and this was in September 2006.
In 2002 I was drinking coffee in the office where I worked. I always drink coffee in the fall when the mornings are really cool and switch to Coke when it starts to warm up outside. It's usually like that in the early fall where I was working. One day I didn't finish my coffee and poured Coke into the mug not realizing that there was coffee in there. I drank it. I was surprised at the flavor which set me back for a moment. My natural reaction was "nasty" at first but it grew on me. I actually enjoyed it by the time the mug was gone. I thought about the idea of coffee blended with Cola. Well, now we have "Coke Blak" which is coffee-infused Coke. Go figure.

Every one of the hundreds of predictions that I've made have been totally accurate.
They were, of course, retroactive.
