My mother got a stroke last night.
God this feels horrible.[V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V]
Now she cant talk...For a while there in the emergency she were not even able to contact.So the doctor did'nt want to give that medecine that solves the clogged blod in the brain.Later on She were sitting up and wanted to go home,kind of panic to be left in the hospital over night...But ofcourse she have to stay there...
Unless they give that stuff to her after i left the hospital last night.Probably that damage is permanent now.God,God,God,God[V][V][V][V]

Talented, I'm sorry to hear about you mother. I know how you feel. powerless to help...all you can do is sit there and stay calm and wait. my grandmother had two strokes in her life. the first gave her mild paralysis and she did good for about 8 years....her second was on the day before my birthday 4 years ago...it was the last one. she died later that evening. you have my prayers...i've been there. 0 -

The damage in most cases is NOT permanent...My mother had a stroke and laid on the floor of the her home for almost 12 hours before any help arrived, she couldnt talk, couldnt use her right arm or right leg at all ....WIthin a month she had full use of her leg and arm and was talking normally....
There is another member on this forum whose wife had a major stroke and is recovering very well .....dheffly (might be spelled wrong) posted about it and also his wife's recovery...
So dont jump to conclusions about the damage....Its not usually permanent...The medication given to dissolve clots (t-pa therapy) is given ONLY if the stroke was caused by a clot...there are other causes of a stroke and if the medication is given to a stroke victim not caused by a clot, it can kill them...0 -

You have my prayers. I know what its like, only you have it 10x worse. Its your mom, My uncle had a massive heart attack last night- took him to a hospital and got him stabilized, then flew him to a bigger one, where they were attempting open heart surgery, he had another massive heart attack on the table and died there. Its not cool, for sure.
