Big Fan - many years ago. I seem to remember that she also used another pen-name. The only books I actually recall, were several she wrote about post apocalyptic America.

I was maybe 7 or 8, and on a huge Science Fiction jag.

I haven't seen one in years.

    Is she still alive ??

In the yard sale I had a couple weeks ago, I was selling off some books. There were a number of Andre Norton books in there. Been years since I read them.

Early pen name was Andrew North. Publisher thought the public would not buy a female author. Years later read that she never used a pen name. But I had the books. When they were republished her real name replaced the North name and carried the explaination. Traded them to a friend when I was a kid. Wish I still has those books. Her science fiction was great and so were her later fantisy books. In those later years she had a school where she taught would be writers how to write. Norton co-authored with some of those students.

I'd like to be in on the drawing. I'm not a fan of fantasy, but the SF would be avidly read. I don't care about the condition of them, just the letters.

    Thank you,

Anyway as they went by one had a weird cover art and was titled "The Time Traders" ....

That is the first Sci-Fi book I ever read, probably in seventh grade or so. It was a good book, but I don't think I read anymore Sci-Fi until Dune, which I read in college on a friends recommendation. Sounds like you have a nice collection.

Dune puts me to sleep. And I've tried to read them many times. I was excited when the movie came out - asleep in 15 minutes.

I guess I just don't get it - funny names and all.
