Army Hoax
You keep reading all these reports about the U.S. Army not being able to reach recruiting goals and being at the lowest levels since...they recorded....it's a lie.
30% of the US Air Force folks I work with...are TRYING to get out of the AF and into the Army. They are fed up with getting some POS Commander that got his first job commanding people after flying C-5 "never work" aircraft. These POS Commanders are ruining so many peoples careers that 30% of the AF ......would rather be in the US Army.
But the AF (which is overmanned severly)...won't let them move over to the Army.
Why ain't that in the news?

Maybe the Air Force people arent qualified for the ARMY, I saw many interservice transfers denied when I was in. In some cases they ended their term and enlisted in the other service. for many of those that made the transfer there was a drop in rank also. 0 -
I work at a Training post for the Army, we sometimes get AF transfers and or folks that have quit the AF and joined the Army, no matter what the rank of the former AF person is they have to go through the Army's basic training program. the AF's just isn't geared toward teaching soldiers to survive a firefight. 0 -
Oh....they are more than qualified. These kids are more Army than the Army.
Here's the story:
The US Navy Seals/Navy have a vital piece of equipment. Only one exists...... on Earth.
The AF converted half it's positions to Civilians here...wonderful idea. This new Commander came in...he's a former C-5 pilot. Never commanded a squadron before. He doesn't authorize overtime for civilians. So this one Sunday....no civilians were there....only a couple GI's right...not enough for the job...they had all these planes FALL out of the sky and only a couple GI's tried to manage the situation with what they had.
The NCO was coordinating efforts with the Seals and a contractor for movement and PRAYED his airmen could download it off the plane and bring it down to the Navy...simple task....only problem was....his 1 green moron screwed up. He dropped a Billion dollar plus Navy Seal Asset. Broke it. This piece was more important to the US Navy than blue pants with yer name on the back.
Poop starts rolling down hill after word gets straight up to the Secretary of Defense. ONE soul person gets screwed over this situation....not the MORON that was actually involved. The Management that scheduled the work schedule...got off scott free. The Commander that refused overtime to support the operation with civilians...got off scott free.
Who got punished? One NCO who tried to do what he could with what he had. He got UCMJ'd up the rear, lost his wife, family, career, money.
So everyone is jumping ship. 30% wants to cross into the army. Ain't met 1 that is willing to re-enlist into the US Air Force.
I piss off this AF Officer and management at EVERY SINGLE change I get.

Just got the paper. Report is that General William Wallace stated that the army recuiting program is the lowest since the start of the all volunteer army in 1973..Where is the Hoax in his statement? The statement comes from the head of the managment of recruiting. The General himself..Not a media hoax at all. 0 -
The US Army Active is half a million strong.
Other military departments that are severely overmanned.....ain't letting it's people move over to the undermanned branch to do the same exact job.
The AF has been doing the Armies job for quite a few years now with them...there are some AF folks all ate up and PROUD they showed up the United States Army in Afghanistan, Iraq, and others places neither may or may not have been. [;)]
It's the only thing good that came from Rumsfeld...making the other branches of the military git in the trucks with the Army...run with the Army...fly with the Army...shoot with the Army.
You'll see the Army recruit numbers jump up. If you have 15 years with the AF....you could get offered a $40,000 bonus to work your last 5 with the Army in certain MOS's. I know many Puerto Rican's and Phillipino's talking about cashing in on that before they retire and run off back to their home countries.0 -
