But ya know, I'm in a bad rut right now and I'm having trouble seeing the good reason.
I'm certainly not perfect, but I strive to do the RIGHT thing in all aspects of my life. And all around me I see cheats and others twisting the rules and benefitting from it.
I feel like I'm always at the back of the line while others are knocking people out of the way and cutting in line.
What gives?
And I know I'm not the only one. I'll bet strokn feels the same way! While I don't know you guys all that well, I think I have a feel for many of you. And I know you strive to do the honorable thing too. Do you guys feel like this?

i've seen very few questionable ones, but far to many deserving ones, so i feel it is a small price to pay if a few that i don't agree with get it

Eric, I'm the one who always gets accused of deleting posts for personal reasons.
But I don't. I make it a point to not do it so that I can't be accused of doing it but of course I get accused anyway. When people start insulting me and calling me names I specifically do not delete those comments but still some people accuse me of deleting things I don't like or agree with. But it simply doesn't happen. Of course, the same people making those accusations also believe that I am a liar so I can't win. It makes no difference what I say, they believe what they believe.
The sad part is I had absolutely no involvement in the action that started this. I never even saw the thread that got poofed and yet it always winds up my fault. It's been so long since I deleted a thread I actually can't recall the last time but I get blamed for all of them.
As badly as I am reviled in the forum those comments pale compared to the emails I get. People call me the worst things imaginable. I don't think anybody deserves the sort of treatment I receive. Apparently others disagree.
So, go ahead and heap it on. I won't respond. If it makes you feel better to insult me then have at it. I really don't care.0 -

Did you not start a thread and ask a question about why people buy guns they know nothing about? When I responded it was the same as the person who buys a Japanese sword and knows nothing about it (without mentioning your name), the thread suddenly disappeared.0 -
A thread goes on for DAYS - - WEEKS.
LOTS of thoughtful posts/information, on both sides of an issue.
It grows to 2 or 3 pages.
NO PROBLEM.
One immature members posts something unacceptable at the END of the thread, and rather than delete THAT post, and simply lock the thread (to preserve the information in the thread) the WHOLE THING goes away? [V]
