  I had it for about a month and wasn't at all impressed with it...and wild blue's service sucked.

  It is good for Internet browsing/basic (web based) email only.
  
  If you need to upload large files or VPN into your company, forget it. The average sattelite latency is 650ms - too much for most applications.
  
  Also you need a nice clear view of the southern sky with no obstructions or tree branches or buildings between you and the sattelite.

  Rosie - you also need no bad weather.
  
  Even though slower, dial-up is lots more reliable, if no high speed service is available.
