Ruger 10/22 carbine
Ok, I'm finally breaking down and buying a ruger 10/22. I know, I know, I should have purchased one long ago. I was looking at both a regular 10/22 and a 10/22 carbine. Do they have the same receiver? From what I can tell they do. I don't care much about the barrel or stock (that'll be replaced). I just wanted to make sure all of the standard goodies would fit a carbine model also.

Yep. If I understand the difference, one is shorter and has a barrel band. Aside from that, it is the same gun. 0 -
I bought a carbine not long ago. It doesn't have the barrel band on it like the regular 10/22, other than that they are the same. I bought the carbine cause they are a little lighter, and put a Draganov style stock on it. It seems to work well for me. I have problems holding the regular stock because of my wrist that's why I switched. 0 -
Man, prices have gone up on those... 0 -

I currently have 4 and I am going to pick up a new reciver tomorrow. I am going with a reciver this time so I can build a pistol. The only limit to what you can do is up to your mind. 0 -
