Need some auction selling advice or input

This is the first time I've ever sold a firearm and thought that I had this one priced reasonably http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=84801427 though I am getting lot's of looks I haven't received a bid or even a single question as of yet, is this normal?
Am I starting too high, not decent enough photo's or too low of a feedback score (I have lot's over at that gun hating auction site for non-firearm related things)?

I know a lot of you like the penny auctions, but I really can't afford to lose on anything I have of value right now, as we are in a serious cash crunch as of late.

If anyone can give me any input or suggestions it would be greatly appreciated, or even a "your doing it alright" would be of great benefit. I am still able to tweak the auction details since there are no bids currently, so as I said before I'm open to almost anything.

    Personally I would seperat the gun and the scope!

    I think you would come out a bit better by seperating them and lowering your price.

    Your auction looks good, pictures are good, but I don't see the barrel anywhere in the pictures. Is there any scratches or marks, ect? List your shipping price. It will probably be between 20-25 dollars through USPS.

    Lastly, take the scope off of the gun and sell just the gun. Most people will see that scope and think its over kill for a .22 and won't pay the extra money for the good scope. You can then drop your price accordingly.

    I agree about taking the scope off and lowering the price. The pics are good quality but I thought the black back ground made it harder to see. You could also add more pics. Just some thoughts.

    Maybe it's just my monitor but the pictures of the Ruger don't show up very well for me. The Bushmaster and knife pics are much better.

    Does the Ruger have iron sights? I can't tell from the photo.

    Perhaps people who don't know diddly about the 77/22 are looking at your auction. They might wonder how many rounds the magazine holds. Also, I wasn't 100% sure of the caliber until I saw the photo of the barrel. I believe 22 WMR is the standard abbreviation for that caliber.

    "Actual cost of shipping" always scares me. My "c" feedback came from a guy that wanted to charge me excessive shipping - now I always email for shipping costs if I really want the item.

    From what I can see you have a very nice rifle and scope, complete with sling, and a soft case. It's really a neat rifle and scope combo in excellent plus condition, or so it seems to me. In my estimation you have the package somewhat underpriced. GRD made a good suggestion about separating the scope and the rifle, and if you do that, I would not lower the price on the rifle a whole lot.     Also, like shoff mentioned, you might want to add a picture of the barrel, since folks usually like as many pics as possible, and you might want to mention if the metal or stock is marred with any scratches, rubs, or such.

    The important thing for you to determine is the bottom dollar you want for your item(s) after you pay any GB auction fees. Also, take into consideration shipping, insurance, and FFL fees that a buyer would have to make. If you are concerned about seeing bids on your rifle go with the reserve auction and start it at a penny, if not, use the automatic re-list feature along with auction strategy you currently have, and forget about it, except for an occasional peek. Don't get in a hurry and lower the price and in time, someone will get a very nice combo.

    Nice gun. Like others said, more photos and list shipping price. I usually just use $25 for shipping and it is usually more than enough for anywhere in the first 48 states.

    Also, I list a price and usually let it run a couple cycles before lowering it. Often, it will get bought right after it starts a new cycle.

    I agree with some of the others.
    Add pics of the rest of the gun, or make a more detailed description,........preferrably both.
    20 to 25 bucks will cover any long gun by USPS, or UPS in the USA.
    List that, along with some more info as above, and then just wait.
    It looks like you have a very nice setup there, and you WILL find a buyer for it.
    I would not expect less for the combo, unless you are in dire straights money wise, and need to sell right away.
    If I needed one, I would buy it right now!

    Thanks foR the advice everybody, I really didn't want to separate the gun and scope as the rifle hasn't any sights. I will be adding additional photo's and I am only going to charge actual shipping (which I've been told $25.00 dollars will cover, if not I'll eat the rest)I will also add to the description.

    NEVER sell a Leupold scope on the rifle.

    So what if the rifle has no sights? The new owner can put the scope of his choice on it.
