Yes Travis Bickle was a bad man with his concealed forearm gun.
    Good luck with your project.

Now it's how to construct a sleeve concealed/deployable handgun.

So far you've you've asked for advice on "Shredder" ammunition, bullet resistant cloth, rope ascenders, manufacturing impact sensitive explosives and tips on making an inletted gun case.

    I can't wait to see what's next.

It's better to leave TV props on the tv shows.
Who would want the gun to pop into their hand on a traffic stop?
or while making a bank transaction?
Stupid thought to try to make a real one.

Even the "real" ones only work in the movies. It is a prop. It would require a ridiculously large sleeve to conceal, and the sleeve material would have to be stiff enough to stay out of the way.

Someone back around WWII, the OSS or the Nazis, came up with a sleeve gun and a belt buckle gun. They were single shot, last ditch weapons, but they fired from where they were; they didn't pop out. The sleeve gun had a barrel that strapped to the forearm on the inside. One had to extend the wrist to fire, so the hand was out of the way of the muzzle.

    Yeah, like that.

That one is real, not a prop. Also, probably classified as a Class 3 AOW.

Say, ryans63, I notice you use the adjective "wicked" a lot. How old are you?

Oh I have severe insomnia, I sleep only two or three hours every few days, nothing more, not by choice. I've always had insomnia but the military just made it more severe so I have lots of time on my hands to think about some odd poop.

Well the fact is I wouldn't ever wear it meaning to use it, in other words just something to show, hence novelty item, I mean its not like the guys who buy all those medieval broadswords strap them on and go out in public. So excuse the hell outta me for finding these type things interesting.

my luck i would have an accidental discharge and blown my hand off, so i just learned how to draw fast from concealment, .7 seconds from a natural stance drawing from under a vest, with hitting my target on a good day, with .9 being my average

Muzzle blast can be no joke. You will burn yourself and/or set your clothing afire.
Some years ago I fired from a pocket and did just that.

It was a fair question considering almost every post by a new member asks for advice on making or obtaining seriously James Bond-ish items. It's a bit of a red flag when someone asks how to home brew explosives when what they're wanting to make is readily available for purchase if you supply ID.

As said.."it's a prop". What they don't show is the bevvy of wires and pnuematic hoses going to it to make it work.[;)]

    Listen...

    He hasn't asked:"9MM vs .45 - which is best??"

    or:

"Can I convert my Tactical flashlight into a 12 Ga. entry gun??"

    or:

"When the SHTF, what brand condoms will you use??"

    Obviously, he should be bannded.

Keep asking questions young man. Thats the way you learn. I'm damn near 66 and those kind of things still intrigue me. The man who don't think is a fool.

Questions got me thinking...would it surprise anyone if a newspaper/magazine article were published with the writer saying "I got all the info I needed on fabrication of this [wicked] device on an on-line forum called "Gunbroker"?? Good anti-gun ploy, if you ask me. Joe
