I'll take heaven because I wouldn't want to take a chance on being reincarnated and end up as a bar of soap in the men's shower room!

since when do we have a choice?
sad to report that if you entertain or prefer to be re-incarnated, odds are youll never get a shot at heaven...but will most likely land in the other one.[:o)]
going to heaven isnt about living in a retirement community in the clouds forever playing a harp, its about being in the presence of the LORD. you know, the one who made us? eternity wouldnt be long enough to thank him for all his wonder and grace.
coming back as anything other than 'made in his image' would be a step down. think about it.[;)]
being a human is so valuable and has so much invested in it, that you cant get more than one shot at getting it right here. you dont get a second chance at being anything but lost for ever.
take time today to thank GOD for Jesus' blood that guarentees GODS judgement to pass over you at death. jesus will save you, not a chicken waiting to take on your likeness for another round of corrupted earth.[:I]

Most people who claim to be reincarinated do not have much (if any real) knowledge of their past lives. So if you have no memory of your past life, whether or not you are reincarinated doesn't matter. Because basically you are just the same as a brand new, never lived before, person.

The only people who get reincarnated are folks like Napoleon, Caesar, Mark Anthony, John Paul Jones, Queen Elizabeth, a few Pharaohs and such. You never hear of a surf, archer, plumber or fireman being reincarnated. [;)] [8D]

Would you rather go to heaven, sing hymns and play a harp FOREVER or be reincarnated? If heaven is like going to church FOREVER I'll take reincarnation.[:0] Be my luck to come back as a chinaman.

Don't have much choice really since Heaven is a make believe place.

If it were actually going to be clouds, halos, and harps, or having to sit on a cloud next door to someone whose faith was wrapped up primarily in hatred and judgement of others, I'd pass on Heaven. If, as I suspect, it's knowing the warm and loving approval of a God who thinks well of how I conducted myself, that's worth continuing to have faith and trying to do the right thing in this life. If there's some tangible reward involved, some physical sense of being along the lines of actually sitting on a cloud, then I expect that for a good portion of eternity I'll finally be granted my wish to walk in and see wilderness that no one else has.

Many believers in reincarnation either feel, as has been said, that we keep coming back until we learn what we were put on Earth to be taught; or that each new life is either an improvement on or a step backward from the one previous, until we either attain a holiness that makes us worthy of the presence of God or sink so low as to eventually cease to exist. Dunno. I don't believe in the concept, myself.

Doesn't really qualify as persecution. [;)]

Many believers in reincarnation either feel, as has been said, that we keep coming back until we learn what we were put on Earth to be taught; +1. I read a lot on the subject years ago. Mongrell has it right. For believers, if you're a human...you come back as a human...not a bird, dog or even a size double D bra.

You keep coming back until you live your life free of sins...that's where Karma comes in. Whatever bad you do will eventually come back...if not in this life then the next...till you live a wholesome life and then go on to the Lord.

Ex: Believers say that a handicaped person is one who made mistakes in their past life and now in their present life are "paying the price"...learning to be good.

People have been under hypnosis and tidbits of their past lives have come out.

Dr. Brian Weiss is one of the most famous authors on past lives.
His book, "Many lives, many Masters" is worth the read.

Google him, you'll get lots of hits. He has his own website and has been posted before on this forum.

I do believe. I am a lesbian trapped in a man's body. I just hope that next time I will be a gay man trapped in a woman's body.
