Neither do I know, nor do I care. Everyone copied someone else at some point or another. Well, except probably Al Gore - the inventor of the Internet...0 -
Don't forget, Al Gore also gave us goretex 0 -
Oh yeah, hang on to your hats 'cause you ain't seen nuthin' yet. 0 -
If any meltdown occurs, it won't be because of China. Chances are it'll because of the economic ramifications of both Bush's economic policies (increasing spending, cutting taxes - I approve of the latter, but not the former and most definitely not together) as well as fallout from the Iraq War.
Let's also not forget the U.S. government's habit of just printing money to pay for everything - with nothing to back it up, investors will clue in before too long that the dollar isn't worth a plug nickel.
Invest in alternatives, folks. The fall is going to be a nasty one.
I suggest metals (gold, silver, and whatever goes into guns and ammunition).0 -
Speaking of Depressions. Everything goes in cycles. There are graphs that show what each cycle is and the years in that cycle. One gragh of the stock market cycle shows that just before it hits the top the Big money pulls out and the market takes a Big tumble. And just before it hits bottom the Big money goes back in. Then the cycle repeates. The cycles come in, if I remember correctly. a 20 yr cycle followed by a 20 yr cycle followed by a 16 yr cycle. This has been the repetition for two hundred years. The problem is we are in the 16 yr. cycle and when the 16 yrs were up the Big money did not pull out. We are over due for the Big drop!
These graphs all run in the same time period. Some graphs are; housing, T-Bonds, non public debt,
Maybe it is time for us to have this as a topic All Its Own. I hope some of you more brainie tpyes(leaves me out)could ram rod this with something more than my Kondratieff Waves. There is so much. I think what I am seeing says a couple of more years and we are in for a ride.0
