    I'm going in and fixing it so they get to read your quote. I may try to get pics of the chambers. When this was shot at the store it was a standard 10 guage shell....and it has the "nitro" thing so, I thought that meant it was OK for todays shells.

    Bert, Wonder if the steel is strong enough to have the chamber extened to a 3.5 " and forcing cones lengthend?

    Very very doubtful. The Flues Model was not noted for being an overly strong gun. A fair number of the 12 gauge Flues guns have been shot loose by shooting 2-3/4" Magnum shells in them.

    So its not the violent proofed winchester (21) steel, huh? Ashame, that would be a nice turkey tamer.

    No, an Ithaca Flues Model is definitely not nearly as stout as a Winchester Model 21[:0][^]
