Just FYI, topics that reach 10 replies or a more than sufficient answer in the Experts side will be locked. Common practice.

I, however, offer no knowledge of the firearm itself.

I especially like the pink background presentation of your pistol.

I don't have a clue as to value but would be surprised if it was worth any more than a S&W ladysmith, which is in the $350+ range.

Call Colt and they should be able to tell you production numbers. Here is a rare Colt that went off yesterday.

I was offered $1,200 in an email. But I love the thrill of an auction!

The last special lady that sold on Gunbroker sold for $1,399.

    This one sold! 02/14/2007

These are the only auctions I could find. Must be a very rare gun??

Do people usually wait until the last day to start bidding on an item on gunbroker? Does the 15 minute rule help or hurt an auction?

15 minute rule hurts an auction.

i would have to disagree with you dougwilson on the 15 minute rule.i had an auction awhile back that had 2 guys bidding for over an hour because of that rule.made an extra 100 bucks cuz of it [:D]

The 15 minute rule is a definate help to both the seller and potential buyer. It can and often does raise the price that the item sells for. At the same time it keeps the snipers in check. By that I mean someone can not wait until the last couple seconds and put in a slightly higher bid and win the auction. You have the opportunity to come back with a higher bid if you want. All auction sites should have the 15 minute rule in my opinion.

I believe you opening bid might be part of the problem, a litle high to start , maybe why no bids as of yet, your gun though !

The last one sold for $1399. The reserve price on the one before that was $1575. If it doesn't sell, it won't hurt my feelings.

I will hold on to it for a few more years.

That is amazing! I had no idea they were worth that much. I know the Pythons have been going up like crazy but a 1996, what a return on investment. What did you pay for it in 1996? $350+ maybe!

Guess the colts are considered a rare breed since they did not make too many of them.

I sold my pristine six inch blue python in 1980 for $400 and thought I was getting top dollar.
