Also now unemployed as of May 1st, had to join the club too!
Have lost over 70% of T4 & L7 back disc, 2 pinched nerve trunks on the right side, and major spurring.
Got to the point that I was unable sit or stand more than about 30 minutes without a 2-8 hour long major "CharlieHorse" cramps & uncontrolable spasams.
It got so bad, trying to workout the 3 or 4 Charliehorse's a day at work that I was unable to work due to the serve pain.
So something had to go & it was me.
Filed a SS Disability claim, now have to stay unemployed for a year to qualify.
Using Alsup out of Bellville IL, they handle all the paperwork and have a 97% ratio getting their customer on SSDI.
Alsup is a company made up of old SS claims examiners & admin judges.
Most insurance companies use ALSUP to get their insureds off of their insurance, and on to SSDI, so they dont have to pay disability claims.
So they gota be good.
They better be at $5,200 for their fee, as long as you get SSDI.
No SSDI no fee's to pay.
Starting to sell of some collectable weapons, to cover my butt for the next year.
Already sold a really nice Norinco underfoler & a RPD.
Will have more nice stuff that are going up for auction, over the next year.
Hate to part with them, but gotta leave the 401k alone.
Not going to sell any of the Class3 stuff, cant afford to replace them.
I can allways replace most of the stuff I am selling at a latter date. But the Class 3's, they keep increasing in value.
Besides you seen any registered open bolt select fire Powder Springs M-10's for $225 anymore with the suppressor?
If so I will take 10!!!![:D][:D]

Sorry to hear that and I hope all goes well for you. Your problems sound all to familiar (although mine are not as severe). I go in for another MRI tomorrow to see what additional damage I've done. I've definatly got to make some life changes AGAIN if I plan to walk when I retire (if I make it there)![:(][8]0 -

By the way, my SSI came through with no delay by making a direct claim with SS.

Okay....here goes....
Well I've not been that far down the road yet (fortunately). My initial injury was in 1995 and I've done the whole BWC thing, chiropractic treatment biz, physical therapy, and yadda, yadda, yadda (you name it). I'm sure you are all too familiar with the BS you have to go through. Once I graduated with my degree I made a career change (no more warehouse laboring for me once college was done). I've done pretty good since then but the last two years have been hell (and I've been stubborn about addressing it). The doc now says he wants me to have injections directly into my herniated disk at the "Pain Care Center" and I'm not sure I want to do all that. I watched my brother go through that for the last two years as well. He's also out of his mind on pain meds and I just can't live like that. My job and what I want to accomplish is way to important to me at this point in my career and I'm seeking some alternative solutions to hopefully keep me going (perhaps I'm falsly hoping for a miracle). I've got a friend of a friend who currently has the same condition as me and is having an arthroscopic laser procedure done this week at a supposed "state of the art institute" so luckily I have a guinea pig to look to at this point. If this is the "real deal" I'm hoping that my current medical provider will cover the costs instead of fighting with the BWC over this. I'll hopefully fly down to Hudson FL (on my own dime) and have the outpatient procedure done and go on with life if all goes well (fingers crossed). The name of the facility that does these supposed "state of the art" procedures is called The Bonati Institute. If you'd like, I'll keep you informed as to how the friend of the friend does and what my plan is and perhaps there is some hope for you as well.
