No offense but I just broke free from 6 months in Midhelltown, OC NY. Just when I got to thinking that NY couldn't get any worse.

Send some down here (central Alabama). I have seen ONE snowflake this winter, and some light sleet. We need about a foot. Dang mosquitos are buzzing around when the temp gets in the mid 40's!![:(!]

Snowing again here, too. I hope I don't have to shovel the roof again! I am on the eastern shore of the lake. We're not getting it as bad as the folks down by Oswego /Mexico. I have a friend down there. He said that it is WORSE now than in '77!!

They're getting hammered down there in Jefferson County. I'm up by the Canadian border so I'm not getting it as hard but it keeps me from doing what I want to do down in Jeff County today.

It's Bushs' fault, tell him to burn some of that oil he's hoarding so the snow turns into rain. Then you can blame him for the flooding too.

Unused snow shovel for sale! I moved to Richmond, VA from Niagara Falls, in 1978. 77 was the last straw. i don't think it's snowed like that, around there, since then.........till now! [8D]

Anyone know where Central Square NY is? I lived there around 1965 when the blizzard hit. It was similar to this one, but maybe not quite as bad. I was stationed at Hancock Fld, got stuck there with no relief, had to work straight through, over 80 hours without a break, and no food after the second day. I don't recommend it.

Just saw a report that says Oswego is supposed to get another 2 to 4 feet on top of the 110 plus inches they already have. The report called for winds up to 24 MPH to go with it. That may make drifts deep enough to provide a "White Christmas" for next year. Wow!

Goin' out on a limb here, but I predict an end to the snow by mid-August. Be sure to mark your calendar.

About 40 miles south of me (Carthage). They are right in the snow belt.
