I am already planning to go to Texas in March. May have to stop in and talk to the boy,"heheheheehe" doesn't know i'm comming.

Hey Richard, sorry to hear about sad news coming from Kentucky. May I please be allowed to offer an option? I was medical director at an inner city ER for a period of five years, and many a time I was tasked to defuse similar situations.

City, State, and Church Child Protection Services may intervene in your behalf, and may be able to grant you as a grandparent child custody - at least temporarily.

Please do nothing the entire family may at a later time regret.

Anyone who touches a child unjustly and in any way inappropriately deserves to have someone with the child's best interest in their grill...

    Take photoes, get documentation

Call it the system of "checks and balances"...

Sir I am glad to hear that your daughters coming home, I hope for her sake that she can shake this guy, she may end up going back, its often the case. You may be able to prevent your grandson from having to go back, but you cant stop your daughter. when they get to your house make sure you get any pictures of bruises that the child may have. they can come in handy in case of a trial.
If you happen to take a trip to texas you have a better chance if you reach out and touch him from a distance.(I'm not necessaryly talking about a phone call), you almost always get caught up close and personal.

We have relied on government to care for the less able and fortunate for near-on-half-a-century. What we have received is Johnny Sutton putting border guards in prison and letting drug smuggling illegals get free health care and cash for testimony. We have rampant child abuse and sexual predators walking our streets seeking our kids for perverted sex and murder. Our government does not give a good God-damn about the US citizen.

Da- Tank; send me the address to show up to "chat" with the child abusing "big-Man" I'll be there. Your government could care less. Your fellow American still do care for kids!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, bpost...although well-intended, this is not good advice.

Follow the Doc Psycho's order....file a complaint with the Child Protective Services...don't take matters into your own hand.

The law is very clear...when a child is endangered...the law reacts.

Best of luck to you and your family.

I wish I had your faith in government doing right by the citizen, especially a child. But I don't. They PROVE time after time that rules are more important than results. Remember our friends in child protective services in Florida? They lost a child for two years! Of course; the child was dead.

If I catch someone hurting a child; it will not be an open casket at their funeral.

It would be a good idea to make the child's mother aware of this...

    TEXAS FAMILY CODE

? 261.101. PERSONS REQUIRED TO REPORT; TIME TO
REPORT. (a) A person having cause to believe that a child's
physical or mental health or welfare has been adversely affected by
abuse or neglect by any person shall immediately make a report as provided by this subchapter.

    ? 261.109. FAILURE TO REPORT; PENALTY. (a) A person
commits an offense if the person has cause to believe that a child's
physical or mental health or welfare has been or may be adversely
affected by abuse or neglect and knowingly fails to report as
    provided in this chapter.

    (b) An offense under this section is a Class B misdemeanor.

There's a good chance that Kentucky also has laws requiring that child abuse be reported. If she doesn't report this abuse the burden is on you.

If it's a concern, your state probably has a statute similar to this one in Texas:

? 261.106. IMMUNITIES. (a) A person acting in good faith
who reports or assists in the investigation of a report of alleged
child abuse or neglect or who testifies or otherwise participates
in a judicial proceeding arising from a report, petition, or
investigation of alleged child abuse or neglect is immune from
civil or criminal liability that might otherwise be incurred or
    imposed.

    First things first.
Calm grandma down, and get granddaughter (and son) up there.

Yeah..get that report right in to the government.

So they can take the child into 'Protective Custody'..giving it over to some PROTECTED child molester.

I've heard some radio commercials from a Biker group that says they will intervien in cases of child abuse.
They actually state that they will contact the abuser and "convince" him that further abuse is not in his best interest. And that while physical violence isn't their primary tactic, they hint that it is a possibility.
I don't recall the name of this group. But I'd bet your local ABATE chapter would know.
Edit: They are called BACA (bikers against child abuse) and have a website.

-Get documentation and put him in jail.

Bubba don't take kindly to child abusers. Odds are he'll suffer worse in prison than anything you could do.
