This one maybe a little tough. Again, no prize.

During this particular movie (well known)---he sang a couple of verses---"I got a gal prettier 'n you---I got a gal prettier 'n you".

    The Searchers is the movie; but, Ken Curtis is not the actor. Who is he?

    John Wayne sang it briefly in the movie, too, but Ken Curtis definitely did - he played Charlie McCorry. He sang it when Mrs. Jorgensen invited him to stay for supper.

    Off topic but I found it interesting as well!

    Buddy Holly's famous song "That'll Be the Day" was inspired by John Wayne's frequent use of the phrase in this film.

    Ken Curtis may have sung "Skip to my Lou" in the movie; but, he did not sing the verses "I got a gal prettier 'n you". The actor was Jeffery Hunter (Martin Pawley in the movie). John Wayne's adopted nephew in the movie and his side-kick in search of the Indian Chief "Scar". Jeffery Hunter was taking a bath, in the presence of his sweetheart, Laurie Jorgensen (Vera Miles) when he sang the verses.
