Had not heard of this until this morning. Louis Imperato of Henry Repeating Arms passed away just recently. Sad to hear. I wish that all manufacturers had the kind of customer service he required of his company.

Louis Imperato, Chairman of Henry Repeating Arms, passed away on November 28, 2007.
Mr. Imperato was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1933, served in the US Army during the Korean War, and spent over 50 years in the firearms industry. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Rita, his son Anthony, who is President of Henry Repeating Arms, his daughters Mariann and Lisa, and six grandchildren. "Mr. Lou" as he was fondly called by Henry employees will be sorely missed.

I spoke to his son on Friday and expressed my condolences. Lou made great contributions to the replica black powder market with the Colt 2nd Generation revolvers and founded Colt Blackpowder Arms Company in 1993 (manufacturers of the Colt "Signature Series" revolvers) before establishing Henry Repeating Arms. 0
