ncstar scopes
I'm putting together a savage 93 in .17 for my grand daughter.I'e seen a couple of NCstar scopes in 9-16x40 in local shops.Are these scopes any good?The price is right but i'm not sure about the brand.We are bench shooters but I don't want to spend a fortune on a scope for a kid's rifle.

First off, I know, I know, you get what you pay for, I know that.
I am simply asking about NcStar scopes.
Are they decent, bad, good?
Im looking to spend under 200 bucks, and my local guy has about 20 NcStar scopes in his store.
Edit: I have never used a scope before in my life, not once. Any other recomendations on scopes are welcome, distance for shooting would never venture further than 100 yards.0 -
Anyone tried these scopes. I just bought one for 60 bucks. 3-12x56, couldn't turn it down. I know you get what you pay for, but you know how it is. Thought I would put it on my .17 marlin and see how it works.

They are actually really good for a bargain scope, I wouldn't put one up against a Leupold VR-III, but for what it is they work great. I have only shot with one that a buddy had on his SKS and I was really surprised. Try one, you might just like it. 0 -

I have a few, pretty much bullet proof, optics fairly clear, cheap as hell. 0 -
I have an NcStar reflex sight on my U22, it seems to do the job. 0 -
I have 4 of them including a red dot on my AK. They seem to do the job for a very reasonable price. 0 -
Picked this one up about a year ago. It is only 7.5" long. 3x9 mil dot.

i have one that was made for the ar-15. it has a built in handle mount and has bullet drop comp. here is a pic of it on the ar-15. good optics for the money. 0 -
You know what is funny about these responses!
I remember about 6-8 months ago I was asking a question haveing to do with this brand of scope and everyones responce was they were total garbage!
Same responces came when I asked about the RIA .45's about a year ago!
Now we got 8 people who say these are desent scopes for the money, and a number of others who have seen the light on RIA.
I guess it goes to show that everyone on here says everything is garbage if they have no knowledge of what the item is! But after they finally try the thing it becomes allright![;)]

i've had ONE and ONLY ONE, didnt last 10 shots out of a .243 lone eagle pistol, when the reticle fell down to the bottom i pulled it and the mounts and junked it, now my lone eagle wears a burris 3x12 ballistic plex 0
