anyone gonna be at THE SHOWPLACE tomorrow or sunday in Mechanicsville, VA. i'll be going down there with a few buddies, might take my oldest daughter with me if she feels up to it....

  they havent been back since then, well if they have they've been civil to the customers and vendors. i've been a few times since that incident and nothing of the sort has come up

  the showplace seems to have more down to earth stuff in comparison to the fairgrounds. showplace was always nice and loud and lots of traffic. i stopped going back in 96. is it still beads and surplus taffy?[:I]
  the show is only 1.5 hours from my home! if i was single, i'd be hooking up with you guys for some good ole gunshow fun, maybe set up a table again! but alas, im married and i must sit and look at wedding photos with my lonely wife.[:(]

  actually the showplace is one of the better shows that i go to here in va. between the dale city vfw, fredericksburg expo, chantilly expo, the raceway and the showplace i like the showplace the most, the few shows at chantilly that i went to werent all that impressive, but nice none the less cause there were guns there!!
  
  
  Bobski, so you go to the norfolk scope or the hampton rds show? been debating on making the drive but would like the imput since they're about 2 1/2 hours away from me

  scope always was a small show. then they got booted out by city councel in the 90's. now they came back and it just seems like its mostly all the local retail shops in there. that show is 20 minutes from my home.

  The last time I went, a few months ago, it was a mediocre show at best. Few guns and much crap. I'll skip it.

  show was pretty decent, plenty of people there, lots to look at and not just the guns either [:D] was down there looking specifically for a compact .45 and had tooo many to choose from and couldnt make up my mind. i stopped at Greentop on the way home and picked up a Para Slim-Hawg NIB and really like the feel of it. I'm used to my double stack hi-cap S.A. Mil-Spec and with the single stack compact it actually fits pretty good. Only regret is that i would have gotten to the show sooner... but that's another story altogether
