did they say what was wrong with it??? 0 -
Peanut butter with the 2111 first four digits could possibly be infected with salmonella. Peter pan and maybe another brand were affected. 0 -
I try to steer away from pb&j recently. Been going for the old fashioned loaf and swiss cheese with miracle whip and yellow mustard lately. 0 -
i ate a whole jar, that was a bad one marked with 2111, nothing happened. glad to cause that would suck sitting on the porcelain KING 0 -
Oh!Oh! Close Call, maybe![:0][:0][:0] 0 -
We had a couple of jars of Peter Pan on the shelf and even though the code number did not match the suspect code we tossed them out un opened. Better safe that sorry IMHO. My youngest girl loves PBJ but since peanut butter was not a food that I ate in our immigrant household as a kid, I never developed a taste for it. 0 -
What are all you guys doing buying Peter Pan peanut butter. There is only one eatable peanut butter - SKIPPY[:p][}:)] 0 -
Have you ever made your own? It's very easy and if you're a peanut butter afficionado, it's rewarding.
In a blender, combine oven-roasted peanuts (no skins), peanut oil and a touch of salt. Whir away until it's just chunky or longer for creamy. Add the oil slowly to achieve the best consistency.
Since this natural peanut butter is not homogenized, the oil will separate out while standing for periods of time but just stir it all back up when you want it.
Good stick-to-the-roof-of-your-mouth eating. Enjoy it on bread with a glass of cold milk![:p]0 -
We transferred a guy from a local hospital to a larger hospital Thursday that showed up at the ER with stomach pain. Upon further questioning, he had eaten Peter Pan peanut butter. Turned out, he had salmonella. We had a jar at home with the 2111 code. I threw it away Thursday night. 0 -

The other brand was Great Value from walmart. Peter pan makes their peanut butter. And yes it does come from the same bins and prossessing lines.0 -

Everyone know the salmonella virus settles on the bottom. It's ok to eat the top and then make peanut butter cookies with the rest to give to your mother-in-law.0 -
