    Neither one of those guys can shoot worth a damn. Both of those rifles are capable of considerably better accuracy from the bench than they were getting from them. The Ak has never been in the same league as the M16 when it comes to accuracy but a good one is quite a bit better than that.

    Agreed.

    Milspec specifies that M16's be able to shoot under 4 MOA. The shooter in this video grouped more than double this.

    You can clearly see the AK shooter snatching the P out of the trigger. This rifle should be shooting ~6-8 MOA. Mine shoots around 4 MOA with plain old Wolf ball.

    I agree also the shooters were terrible.
    I was more interested in the slow motion photography of the barrels.
    The m16 had a light barrel which is hardly used anymore, and still was more rigid during firing.

    Mr. At-water is "the man" (auto sensor at work????[?]). He sure gets lots of camera time on the History Channel.[^][:)]

    Still, regardless of accuracy, I'll take my AK over the finaky AR. Pull trigger...it go boom regardless.[:)]

    That was a grouping at 200 yards. The group would need to be in an 8 inch area to meet the 4 moa. I'd wager that you couldn't do better with iron sights at 200 yards. I shoot irons in 3 gun and it's alot harder than most think.

    It was in the first and second World Wars and Korea, as far as the US was concerned. Not since then.
