School Drugs And Gun Signs
I was recently at a public school and noticed that there were several signs posted on the school property showing a pot leaf, syringe and a handgun and stated "this place is weapon and drug free."
Is this some way of telling the kids that only druggies have guns and or if you own a gun you are no better then a druggy?

I think those sort of signs are proof that some parents are failling to educate their children. The age of kids experimenting with drugs and mis-use of firearms, gets younger every year. 0 -
They've had signs like that since the 80's But they didn't necessarily depict guns or drugs, or have guns and drugs on the same sign.
One reason they did it was as a warning... and so people couldn't claim in court that "I didn't know" Of course, "ignorance of the law" is never an accepted defense in any court in this country.
But hey, welcome to america... There are way too many idiots living in this country. In fact, there are way too many idiots living on earth...0 -
where i live in los angeles i have noticed many signs on the schools i play basketball at. they all say "tabacoo free campus" but they never say "alcohol free campus". i was always puzzled by this. 0 -
