Flags are at half-mast across the country, in the wake of the theater shootings. Twelve are dead.

Fourteen are now dead because of that terrible truck accident in Texas. Are we going to have a month of flags at half-mast for that incident also?

    I am going to trade a 357 for a 45 cal
    seneca BP---either my 3 screw ruger 357
or model 19-4. makes no difference
to me except someday if i want to shoot
some stout loads.I favor keeping the ruger.
He wants to give it to me for zip
    but i know he needs a 357.
Also I paid $100 for the Smith
    Would like opinions.
    Thanks ron

I have made several requests to purchase specific firearms in the want section and I am confused as to why I get responses that are not even close to the request I made. I recently posted that I wanted a 300 H&H bolt action and have received 3 not quite close responses. One was asking if a 300 Savage model 99 would work, 1 telling me that a 25-06 was better and they had 2 for sale and the last trying to sell a 7mm Remington. Is this really that common and if so why, other than trying to sell their gun, would someone get so far from the request?
If I wanted a 25-06 or a 300 Savage or 7mm I would have requested these? I wonder if it is just that people don't know how to stay on subject. I know this is an invitation for sarcasm and ridicule but it is baffling to me. Thanks for your time and please stay on subject and keep the sarcasm to a minimum. This is a real question and I do not know if I am just not seeing the point of an off topic reply. 257

got a question on the sure shot bullets. I have a few that someone gave me for a 9mm. Basically just a little shotgun type of bullet (w/ little bb's in it) I haven't fired one through it because...well I just don't won't it to mess up my gun. Have any of you guys shot one through one of your guns?

Some people asked me to move this question from ask the experts.I was asking what was thought of the Colt 1991 A1.i got very few replies and they were all positive.I have seen other people ask about thoughts on different firearms and they got several pos. and neg. answers about the firearm.I posted the ? twice and got only a few answers all pos. Most any weapon has faults that someone doesnt like.Thats what I would like to hear.I am not looking for 100 answers just a small crossview.Maybe posters on this site like colts so much they wont say neg things about them. There has got to be something someone doesnt like about them and that could be a reason for me not to buy.

just a passing thought over the weekend while the wife and I were canning and freezing some food . while using one of the vacuum packing seal a meal or whet eve they are called machines . I thought why not ammo or a firearm
do any of you store ammo or guns in such a manner , seemed like it would work for the ammo , I keep mine in the standard ammo cans with a dry pack tossed in for good measure , but sealing them in the plastic bag looked like a good long term way to keep it ( I do not have enough to worry about it but if I happen up on a huge 22 lr horde (LOL on that happening )
    what do you say

Why do all the old six-guns seem
    to have their sights reversed
compared to the new ones? Old
    six-gun: profile starts off high
and ends low. New six-gun: profile
starts off low and ends high.
Now ,I'm getting old and my feelings
get hurt real easy so please, don't
    whack at me too hard[:)]

A forearm across the throat doesn't really count as a punch, does it? I've been three years since I actually punched anybody, and I really don't think this should count.

I see the "should homosexuals be allowed post" got locked.

But I posted and answer to jpwolf's post.

He states that homosexuality is learned, a choice or lifestyle, if you will, and that it can be "unlearned".

I say it is inate, you are born gay, and that's that. You can't change that fact.

    waht do YOU think

Please, leave the Bible verses and the religion bashing at the door, I just want a simple answer, so this will not get locked or poofed.

In the Movie "Lone Survivor", one of the SEALS tells his buddy that he will "Die with a full heart".
What does he mean by that? Google has nothing.

I was watching the movie Tombstone. during the gunfight at the OK Corral I noticed that Doc Holliday was shooting his gun in double action. I know that was a film flub, but it was intresting to see. Does anyone know if there are shops that would modify a single action to a double action ?
