This has never happened before (but I also have not shot this gun very much).

I just went and took a few shots with my Taurus 851 (hidden hammer) .38 special.

On 2 occasions it hung up like the internal trigger lock was engaged.

I need advise on this as this is my summer time carry gun and I do not want this to happen in an emergency situation.

Does this need to go back to Taurus?

I showed a couple of days ago that they are Exempt at least their health care plan is.

quote:Rather than listing "many" exemptions, Fund pointed only to page 114. That section stated that individuals who buy their own insurance and small firms (size to be determined) would be eligible to participate in state-based exchanges, which would offer a range of health insurance plans for purchase. Those who already get insurance through Medicare, Medicaid, the military's Tricare insurance program, or the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program wouldn't be eligible. All federal employees, including members of Congress, fall under the FEHBP. Those who have coverage from a large employer wouldn't be eligible, either, unless their coverage didn't meet minimum benefits criteria or was deemed to be unaffordable.

I have made several requests to purchase specific firearms in the want section and I am confused as to why I get responses that are not even close to the request I made. I recently posted that I wanted a 300 H&H bolt action and have received 3 not quite close responses. One was asking if a 300 Savage model 99 would work, 1 telling me that a 25-06 was better and they had 2 for sale and the last trying to sell a 7mm Remington. Is this really that common and if so why, other than trying to sell their gun, would someone get so far from the request?
If I wanted a 25-06 or a 300 Savage or 7mm I would have requested these? I wonder if it is just that people don't know how to stay on subject. I know this is an invitation for sarcasm and ridicule but it is baffling to me. Thanks for your time and please stay on subject and keep the sarcasm to a minimum. This is a real question and I do not know if I am just not seeing the point of an off topic reply. 257

Some people asked me to move this question from ask the experts.I was asking what was thought of the Colt 1991 A1.i got very few replies and they were all positive.I have seen other people ask about thoughts on different firearms and they got several pos. and neg. answers about the firearm.I posted the ? twice and got only a few answers all pos. Most any weapon has faults that someone doesnt like.Thats what I would like to hear.I am not looking for 100 answers just a small crossview.Maybe posters on this site like colts so much they wont say neg things about them. There has got to be something someone doesnt like about them and that could be a reason for me not to buy.

Has anyone here had any experience with the S&W chief special line of autos? Also where would I find a "plastic " holster for it? And what is the general opinion on them, I don"t see a lot of them being carried.

The Bundy ranch situation and the supportive
    militia:

Does anyone think that "new ground" has been crossed?
Might this be a concrete turning point
    in govt/common citizen relations?

I see the "should homosexuals be allowed post" got locked.

But I posted and answer to jpwolf's post.

He states that homosexuality is learned, a choice or lifestyle, if you will, and that it can be "unlearned".

I say it is inate, you are born gay, and that's that. You can't change that fact.

    waht do YOU think

Please, leave the Bible verses and the religion bashing at the door, I just want a simple answer, so this will not get locked or poofed.

I was watching the movie Tombstone. during the gunfight at the OK Corral I noticed that Doc Holliday was shooting his gun in double action. I know that was a film flub, but it was intresting to see. Does anyone know if there are shops that would modify a single action to a double action ?

This mural is on the front of a local School. It was completed in 2006. Now some local Vets are complaining about the location of the flags in it. Also the Real Flag Flys nearby and it is in a hIgher position.

I just read the thread that Saxon locked and a question popped into my head:

Why is it that we can't talk about rival sales sites (that much I understand) AND problems with GunBroker auction side on this site?

The logic running through my head dictates that because this site is run by GunBroker, they wouldn't object to questions/issues being posted here. In fact, they should start a forum board just for that purpose.
