Very nice choice of Harley!!! I am the same way about only living once and the older I get the more I realize I need to get the things and enjoy them now. I do not want to be in an old folks home thinking about all the things I should have done. Thats why I would rather have a new motorcycle to Ride then money sitting in a bank account somewhere doing nothing.

purty nice fer a Harley, but starting at $20K? Gulp, that would be a tough bite for me to take. Guess I will just stick with the old beemer. Congrats Lowrider!

That is a nice bike. Congratulations!
I gotta get another big bike, I sold my Harley ten years ago so I could buy my land. I would like to get another Harley, but if I can't save enough money I will get a nice old BMW R100.

If you ride a beemer you will just be taking the bugs out of the air for the Harley guys behind you.

The BMW is a contemporary of the Harley, a two cylinder air cooled motor, both bikes developed early in the 20th century. Only, the Krauts had the brains to stick the cylinders out in the airstream. I still can't see how that rear Harley cylinder doesn't fry in hot weather.

The good part about owning a Beemer is........you can park it anywhere and no one will steal it.[:)][:)][:)]

victorvlb you are right. Most people don't even know that BMW makes motorcycles.
When I bought my Harley I was living in a small town in central Georgia. Right away, guys started telling me to be careful or the bike would get stolen. A guy in the maintenance dept. at the hospital told me that he parked his Harley in front of the little bar one day at noon, where he could keep an eye on it while he had a beer and a hamburger. Plus he had straight pipes so he knew he would hear it if it cranked up.
He went back outside in a half hour and his bike was gone. Evidently some guys just loaded it up into a pickup truck. He never got that bike back. I heard similar stories from other guys. I was told, DO NOT leave that thing at the mall and go inside for an hour, it will be gone. I was told, DO NOT leave that thing parked in front of your house, you don't want people to know you have a shiny new Harley.
I was paranoid before I even got the bike.
So, I built a shed to hide the bike in. I got a V8 engine block, and I always locked the Harley to that block with Cobralinks.
The bike never got stolen but I got tired of being so paranoid.
Nobody ever wanted to steal my BMW. I would still have that bike, but I totaled it.

I was gonna buy a Harley once.

But then I sobered up, and changed my mind. [:D]

    Ended up buying a brand-new 2003 BMW R1150RT instead. [^]

Might as well say it and get it over with.

When it comes to motorcycles, dirt or street, Japan makes the best ones in the world.

Yup....it really is simple as that [;)]

Yer just beggin for a be-och-slapping from lowrider aren't you ?
