What Is Going On In Zumbos Brain Right Now?
What has happened in these last few days with Zumbo Is no small thing to happen to anyone, especially to someone as well known in the Hunting world as Zumbo is. He has skated along for 30+ years and made a decent living at what he did and then in one Blog had his career yanked out from under him.

He's probably thinking about all the perks and freebies that went bye-bye.
HAHA< SUCKS TO BE YOU DUMBO ZUMBO>>>>[:D]0 -
If he disliked assault rifle owners before, I'd imagine he has a blistering hatred for us now.
I doubt we've heard the last from him0 -
Has Gerber made any further response since yesterday??
They did not answer my email.

The fallout continues!!!
Dear fellow 2nd Amendment Supporters,
I am writing to thank all of you for your activism in making us aware of the comments made on Mr. Zumbo's blog. Hi Mountain Jerky and Seasoning has been a sponsor of his hunting show on the Outdoor Channel, but is in the process of terminating our relationship. We do not support his statements regarding his view of the Second Amendment and would not have supported the show or had his endorsement on our packaging in the past had we known this. We fully stand behind the individual right to keep and bear arms as our Founding Fathers intended. It is truly heartwarming to see the grass roots activism in support of our Second Amendment, please know Hi Mountain Jerky and Seasoning stands behind you.
Thank you,
Hans Hummel
President

Hi Mntn jerky says "It is truly heartwarming to see the grass roots activism in support of our Second Amendment,"
I feel very much the same way about the Corporate Sponsors of hunting magazines, outdoor channels, and firearm manufacturers. I can't wait to see the next months edition of American Rifleman.0 -
high mnt kangaroo, they call that s... jerky, [:0] 0 -
WTG Hi Mountain Jerky!!! 0 -
What I hope is going through his head is a bullet. His thoughtless blog has given antigunners a big shot gun writer who agrees that the public does not need so called assault weapons. So I hope he sits down in his favorite chair has a nice cold glass of whatever adult beverage he prefers and blows his brains all over the wall. 0 -
Dang ya'll are a ruff bunch Boss Dude comes out and says High Mountain supports us and you call his Jerky Kangaroo, and another poster advocates Zumbo shooting himself in the head Jeez guys this is a pro gun forum right not a nut house [:D][:p] 0 -
I'd like to be hearing what's being said around the coffee cups in Peters cafe and the Irma in Cody. He lives just west of there on the southfork 0 -
I imagine he's probably wondering what frivolity's he needs to cut to live on his social security income. 0 -
Mossy Oak Responds to Zumbo Blog
Mossy Oak strongly advocates the Second Amendment of the Bill of Rights, which gives us the right to keep and bear arms regardless of type. The Second Amendment is vital to the outdoors lifestyle we all appreciate and enjoy here at Mossy Oak and across the entire outdoor industry.
"It is unfortunate that a long-time hunter and outdoor writer took a personal position that was unsupportive of the Second Amendment which does not differentiate between firearm types." said Butch English, Executive VP of Sales and Marketing for Mossy Oak. "As a result of comments made by Mr. Jim Zumbo in recent postings on his blog site, Haas Outdoors, Inc. the home of Mossy Oak Brand Camo has ended all sponsorship ties with Mr. Zumbo effective immediately. While we strongly disagree with Mr. Zumbo's opinion, we respect his constitutional, guaranteed right to speak freely."
As shooters and hunters, we should all help educate and promote responsible firearm information and safety. It is important for the outdoor industry to focus our attention to educate those opposed to any type of anti-hunting or anti-Second Amendment movement.

Where were all you guys when Charlton Hesston said "No citizen needs an assualt weapon" on a radio show a couple months after he took over the NRA...? 0 -

I don't even own an AR or AK but I railed against his stupidity anyway. BTW, as soon as I can manage it--$$$--I plan to be an AK owner.0 -
What brain ? That's an oxymoron! [}:)] 0 -

That's exceptionally harsh.
I think "Early retirement" is most likely.0 -
I have no interest in "assault weapons" (DWS said I could say that if I used the quotation marks) and do not own any, but I think the second guarantees my right to own Sidewinders if I want them. Need has nothing to do with "the right of citizens to bear arms shall not be infringed."
I met Zumbo briefly on an oryx hunt, and he seemed a decent guy, and he is entitled to an opinion as are we all. Publishing his opinion may not have been the best plan. I think my e-mail in protest was a good plan. Thanks to those who first posted the link!0 -
Keep in mind, Gerber hasn't repudiated Zumbo at all.
And I doubt they will.
More than 50% of their overall sales have gone to the government since 2003, mostly the military.
They would probably have no qualms with another AWB. Doesn't affect their sales. And they'd stand to lose more by siding with the civilians over the fat-cat government gun grabbers. So they can safely flip their civilian constituency the bird. And I bet they will.0 -
