Any Experience with Netflix out there???
I have gotten very frustrated with the local Movie Gallery and wondered if any of you guys or gals had any comments on Netflix?

I have Netflix and have had mixed results. Shortly after subscribing someone started to steal the movies out of my mailbox, so I got a PO Box and that problem is solved. They have screwed up two, two disk movies. The first they never sent disk 1, and the second they sent the wrong disk 2. I will say however that they have tried to make things right in a fairly timely way. So far I am staying with them. 0 -
had netflix for quite a while. i live pretty close to a distrobution center so my delivery is most ricky tick. they have screwed up, but always made it right. the only reason i dropped them was for blockbuster and their new deals.

I wouldn't switch if Blockbuster was charging half of what Nexflix does...0 -
i had the problems with theft, also. had to quit and have not had the prob since netflix emailed me to tell me they had fixed some things (like the USPS) 0 -
Have had Netfkix for almost 2 years. We love it. We are a long way form a distribution center but if they go in the mail Monday we usually have the new ones back on Friday. They have struggled with multi disk movies but overall I am very satisfied. 0 -
I don't have netflix (I prefer the tactile sensation of picking up the movies at the video store, just like how I love to browse used book stores) but a lot of my friends do and swear by it. 0 -
We've had it for over a year, no problems and timely service. No video stores within 15 miles, makes life easier. 0 -

One of the main reasons i'm interested is because of the ease of selection by category...I love good old Westerns[;)] And they are hard to find in the video shops around here-- beyond a few selections.0 -
The wife & I really enjoy Netflix. There is no down side unless you don't watch movies for a month or don't like the internet.
We live in a very rural location, delivery is amazingly fast and their on-line shipment indicator is accurate enough.
It's $19.25 a month and we used to have at least that much in late fees before.[:o)]0 -
I have had it since about 6months after they launched We have been getting 7 at a time the last year or so just brought it down to 6 because im using gameznflix as well which is 12 bucks a month for 3 at a time with a lifetime discount code, they also offer military discounts.
The speed is no where near as fast as netflix and the selection is a lot smaller but I rent games from them and when theres no games I want I rent movies works out and saves me a few bucks on the netflix.
I thought about trying blockbuster but seems to me the pricing wasnt that much different. May look again concidering we are low on money at the moment but we have always liked netflix.
If you guys wanna share friends codes or whatever I have done so with some other forum members, have rated over 1000 movies on my account so you may see something you like in my list. Unfortunetly the server is down right now so I can't look up my code let me know though.0 -
You are better off with pay per view. How many movies do you think you'll watch in a month? @$3.00/movie PPV, you can watch 7? for the price of netflix. 0 -

Depends is it just him, or is it his family. We rent for 3 people here, and when I did 3 a month I was going threw around 14 movies a month. Not to mention payperview doesn't have much of a selection.
I rent a lot of foreign stuff myself, like old Samurai movies and Martial Arts films etc most of it you can't rent at your local rental shop and definitely not get on ppv. Yet netflix carries most if not all of it.
All the old war movies, westerns etc. Can't really rent anymore insept from places like netflix. Also I personally don't buy dvd's I watch a movie once and i'm good unless its a war movie I often watch them over and over they don't seem to get old, don't really understand why people buy them seems to me you see most movies once you have seen them enough. I sorta have a photographic memory though so thats part of it, I remember every movie I have ever seen, maybe not by name but if you tell me about a scene I can tell you about the rest of the movie.0 -
I have net flix and average two movies a week.All stuff I cant get at my local blockbuster which is 20 miles away.I put a dvd in the post 1030 monday morning,recieved an E-Mail Tuesday morning to say they had recieved it,I recieved the replacement Wed morning,cant get better or quicker than that in fact it beats me how they do it so fast.I send them to a San francisco address but live about 150 miles north,wish my ordinary mail was as quick. 0 -
I get more for my netflix $ than my cable or pay per view $ 0 -
My memory is so shot that I can watch the same movie 3 times in one week, and it's always new.
Since we got a DVR(TiVo type thingy) we haven't rented a single movie.
The damned thing is addictive, but great.

I had Blockbuster and was pretty happy with them. I stopped b/c we were not watching very many movies. Now with an almost 2 year old, we are in alot more so might go back to using it again. 0 -
Update: I received my first two movies from NetFlix today. I got a couple of Westerns I would have never found locally. Looks good so far. Thanks again for the comments[:)] 0
