Is anyone else SICK of this B*** S***???
There's a difference between "tolerance" and "acceptance". I always try to have one or the other if not both. In this case, however, I have neither for these crazies. Do we seriously believe we can "democracize" them after thousands of years of this type of B*** S***? [:(!]

We read it too. We are not calling for the elimination of all Moslims. Just emptying the trash from Sudan.
Love the dancing hippo, but the smugness, not so much.
Sorry, the posting of a nuculear weapon going off on a country kind of upset me. Can we look at this another way? The teacher broke the law of the country (Yes, dumb law, dumb thing to do, and I don't care for what is transpiring there myself). However, Sudan is a sovereign country, and there for can enact, enforce and sentence laws and people anyway it chooses. The really sad thing about this story is the fact that most of the Sundanese people don't possess the ability to make an informed decision on the case. Like most of the countries in that area there's a huge disproportioned number of uneducated people (read that can't even read) to educated (people in power: politicians and clergy in the area). I think the politicians got the message about what the rest of the world thought when the sentence came down; 15 days in jail (Compare that to the 6mo and 40 lashes she was going to get). Yes, the Sudan is a screwed up country. I have no plans to go there, and the State Dept doesn't allow people to go there either. I'm just a little sick of the hatred against one religion or another on the forum. Just look how many threads we have on this one topic, and all are saying the same thing.
Basically, even though you appear to be a thinking person, you merely offer excuses as to why some people act crazy, murderous, primitive, etc. Point is, the behavior that so many of us here condemn NEVER SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED in a civilized society.
According to who? When did the world get together and decide what constituted a civilized society and what takes place there? The death penalty shouldn't exist in a civilized society according to some, but it's here in the good'ol US. Does that mean we're uncivilized too?
You can debate the question you pose to death. Or, you can just observe the overall, general behavior of various countries/civilizations and answer you own question without having to make a college debate about it.
Not trying to be rude to you, but the situation is just not that complicted.
Yes, why debate and study a topic when I can just do what the crowd wants? That seems much easier.0 -

The trutth about some subjects, like the murderous extremist Muslims, are so painfully obvious there is little or no need to "debate and study". Unless you can study up on it and tell us just what we did to make them hate us. So then we can change our evil, infidel, ways and maybe they will then like us enough not to kill us. Just subjugate us;.0 -

Go ahead! Stick up for these Islamic Savages that do nothing but live to HATE and KILL Jews and people from Western cultures. It's only a matter of time before they turn on the Russians, Chinese, and everyone else. These people even have schools for their male children to teach them how to beat their wives!! What the Fa-Hell!! Besides, all these black Muslims and Muslim converts are the ones I feel sorry for because to the Arab Muslims they are still scum. They don't even like people of their own religion.

Religion is the opium of mankind. Disregarding who said that originally as unimportant, it makes sense that all god-fearing people are dopes. Whether you get upset over a stuffed animal's name or make soap out of a Jew, religion driven fanatic's are a pox on the world. 0 -

P3skyking, do you honestly believe that last statement....."all god fearing people are dopes..//"? I'll agree that "religious" motives have driven people to do some weird stuff in the long history of mankind but I am truly sorry you have missed a Great and Gracious God when you lump all "religious" into one category. Just as man has perverted everything imaginable in some way, he has also perverted religion and the one true living God but until you make your own HONEST assessment of Him, I wouldn't make such a broad statement.
I also agree with and earlier post that I am way sick of all those who would defend Islam as a "religion of peace" when even those who don't practice Jihad on a daily basis don't utter a word of condemnation of those who do, therefore giving rise to the theory of a religion on peace. I make every effort to "live" Christlike and quickly speak out against those who name the name of Christ but act like the heathens they truly are, i.e. bombing abortion clinics, painting "Trust Jesus" on highway overpasses, screaming racial hatred behind a white sheet, etc. Now, let me pose a simple question to you, If I'm wrong, at the end of time, I've wasted a few days a year in a very peaceful setting being friends with some very nice people........ on the other hand, if you're wrong, you're going to spend "eternity" in torment and pain.... don't you want to rethink your position?????0 -

As long as a non-believer lives a good life, what kind of hateful, unforgiving God would cause the above in red? Few mere mortals would do that even to their enemies. How can a perfect God do it?0 -
We still have not spent nearly enough money on our Muslim friends in Iraq. Another $500 billion and we may see some promising results- They all might convert to Christianity [:0]. 0 -

I don't like it, but there are countries all over the earth who abuse, misuse and outright kill their own citizens. In addition, there are nations all over the earth that are a declared hazard to the USA.
What are we going to do about it, invade each one?
Rather, we should work to make changes in those nations while maintaining our own constitutional principals here, all the while delivering a bloody nose to rogue nations/elements if necessary, based on specific and limited circumstances. In addition we need to be preparing to confront each and every threat for the "if and when" where we are required to act in or for our nations survival.0 -

What is up with your guys who want to use nukes? We need to nurture these people, teach them Christian values and build up their nations into democracies with freedom and justice for all. Iraq is our test case and we need to redouble our efforts there because we are so close to victory that it will only be a few more months (and another half a trillion bucks) before the Iraqi's dismantle thier mosques and use the salvaged materials to build churches with big crosses up on the steeples. 0 -
Who is causing the majority of the world's misery, death and heartache right now? The "religion" of the stupid, ignorant, scum no brain flea bitten camel pile rag head POSs of Islam. I don't care what you believe in and worship as long as you leave those that are not stupid enough to believe as you alone. If any part of your "belief" says to kill those who won't follow then all of it is wrong and should be condemned. No matter what the excuse makers say I don't see the millions rising up to stop "extremists". The whole "religion" is extreme. Throughout the history of mankind people have made gods to worship. I don't see proof that any have been proven real or non-real. If you have faith in it then it can be good. If you believe in forcing your belief on me then may you reside in the hell of your on belief. 0 -
??? we don't need to convert them all to christianity, or blow them up either! how about we just let them do whatever they want over there?? if they want to be "christian" or "democratic" like us, ok we can make it available to them, otherwise, why bother???
look at these people
do you really give a flip what they're doing??
if so why?!?!

Rock,
My ability is not impaired I assure you. I've faced many of these savages during my deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan. What amazes me is how quickly many will lump an entire group (of oh let's say slightly over 3 Billion people) into one catagory and then suggest we "Nuke Em All".
I'll bet some believe they were born about 60-70 years later than they should have been. Hitler would have appreciate the help.

Seems like John McShame used Godwin's Law against Ron Paul in the most recent debate.
I was not aware of this "law" before. Thanks for the post. It gets used A LOT.0 -

As far as im comcerned you can nuke them all.It doesnt matter nice they apear to be it is still a fact that if you are not a muslim you are an infidel and should not exist.I have seen what they have done to Europe and I dont want to see it happen here.I personaly dont agree with any organised religion,I feel one can believe in god without having to go to a place of worship or with a group but I dont protest people who do.Islam has got out of hand, its about time we did our own protesting. As I have said before I personaly think that anyone who does business with them is a traitor and I mean even if they shop in a muslim owned business. 0 -

Ok, so what is the deal? Did Hitler not kill thousands with the help and assistance (both passive and active) of so many others? Or, now is it just so "American of us" to forget about that ugly little time in our shared history because someone who has their actions compared/contrast to the "Final Solution" say it violates some wacko's self-proclaimed law?
Specifically, I am confused as to how this so called "law" relates to the topic. The reason I offer Hitler could have used the assistance is that many on here villainize Islam and all Muslims as if once you enter the religion you are issued an AK-47 and an IED. My problem with generalizations is that they are generally wrong. Individuals usually behave much differently than they do collectively as a group.
How lucky we are that not everyone who owns a gun is painted with the same brush as the cowards who killed all those students at Virginia Tech, or Columbine, etc... We'd surely not enjoy being lumped into that group now would we?
All I am saying is that there are many, many religious fanatics in the world. Currently, many of those are more easily identified as Islamic Extremists; those are the ones we should expend all resources in an effort to remove from our midst. The others should be encouraged to support that cause, and so long as we advocate "Killing `Em All", it's a tad bit tough to mobilize that powerful in-group.0
