Possible new job.....

Do you guys remember that buddy of mine that just got hired as a security guard?

Well....today we went to the indoor range so he could get some practice with his new M&P. I got to talking with the owner about reloading and sales and stuff...you know general BSing as usual at the range. So, as a lark, I asked him if he was hiring. He handed me an application and said, "There's the table, here's a pen."
Steve then asked what hours I could work, and I told him afternoon/evenings as my other job is 5a-1:30p. He said great, that's when I need someone. He said he'd call me by Friday.

This is the job I really want as I can learn alot there and the additional income would help with everything. Please pray that I can get it so our financial trouble will end.

    locust...everytime i go in i talk about gb, maybe they'll have me do some auctions for them and i can be like a locust fork jr. that'd be cool. but can a guy that is named after a woman be called "junior"?

    I'll throw a prayer in for you also. Hope you do get the job for the money, but mostly since it is what you would like. A guy has got to like what he does or the rest just doesn't cut it. What could a guy not like about a job like that? swamp_thing

    Way to take the iniative! I am sure that you will enjoy it and you certainly are approching it with the right attitude (learning).
    Good idea about letting him in on GB. I am continually amazed at my local dealers. Most of them don't like GB. I ask them why and they say that it hurts their sales. I ask them if they are selling on GB and they say "No" because they don't like them. It baffles me.

    Mark1301.... you never know anything until you ask the questions, so i asked. if they do hire me, i really want to learn everything i can...smithing, reloading, instruction, i want to be able to look at a gun from across the room and say "oh that's a (fill in the blank)" and then be able to pass that knowledge down to the next generation. we each have something to contribute to the world, some are big...like bill gates and someare small like the guy who helped a pregnant lady cross the street to the hospital whose kid could possibly find the cure for cancer or aids or be the next ted nugent. i may be a little cog in the machine right now, but i'm determined to grown. wow...that was a long response huh?

    Good luck with the job. Remember, millions on disability, SSI, etc. are depending on you to go out and bust your @$$ while they sit at home. You're an important part of our welfare state!
