IMO, moving him to a VA hospital may not be a good thing.
As I recall, 46270 posted that a fall while on active duty and then the errors or refusal of proper treatment by the docs at the VA have led to his current health problems.
He should avoid the VA and go to a private hospital instead for proper treatment. You can't trust the VA with one's health anymore.0 -

Which VA hospital is he in. My sister-in-law works in the the one in Tampa I believe. She claims the care is very good. The VA care in the Portland OR hospital is very good also since they are right next to Oregon Health Sciences Hospital and get many of their Doc's coming over for training and care.0 -

I sent him an American flag once on a giveaway and he emailed back a very touching letter of thanks along with photos of the new flag flying outside his home.

ECC ask a few question, He is Southern Baptist, his wife is Buddist, they are praying hard, it looks like he might even get out wend or thru. He is pulling, last week I thought he was giving up, Ive got three gifts, I dont know why but Ive got a Winchestter, a nice Colt and S & W. thats when I really thgought he was throwing in the towel. still dont know the reason he gave them too me. I know he was a rifle on layaway, but here he gave me 1500 to 1800 in guns.
But I hope he will make it home.0 -

Looks like he will be coming home tuesday.
He was been up, they took him his walker, he needed the add stability of his walker. But he is up and around. So things are looking up for him.[:D][:D][:D]
