do parts such as barrel or reciever have to be shipped to FFL

  All serial numbered receivers must go thru FFL. Barrels do not.

  Receiver = firearm.
  
  Only other problem I can think of is shipping high cap mags where they are banned.
  
  Naturally NFA items are a whole different story.
