    in north florida, you just get to see the contrail.

    I watched one one morning in Titusville early AM still dark out, it was very cool, you could feel the ground shake.

    I also saw the one you are talking about - I'll never forget that one. I was on my way to work. The sky was clear and the sun shone on the shuttle making a spectacular sight.
    I also saw the one that blew up. I was in Tampa that morning and still could see it very well. I'll never forget that one also.

    Central Florida - Southwest of Orlando.
    Quiet a distance but still a good view.
