Shipping Meat Question
I've got a friend that lives in Texas and I would like to mail some jerky down south. How does that work? Would it work to just mail it normally since it's jerky? Thanks in advance.

I keep it in the fridge, don't know if that's necessary or not. I wasn't very worried about it spoiling or anything, I just don't know about shipping food at all.
I'll probably just put it in the mail like anything else.

vacuum pack it if you can, then just mail it. That's what I always do. 0 -
some of that Texas chili might be clasified a "hazardous substance", but jerky should be fine. 0 -

The beef jerkey was packaged in a plastic jar with a screw top lid,And that was in a box with paper wadded up around it.I would mail it..............TO ME!!!!MUH HA HA HA HA!!!!!! 0 -
If anything. If it has not been done already.
I would try to Vacuum pack it. It will be easy to tell if it has been messed with during shipping.0 -

I buy bulk food online occasionally...It often is shipped USPS...
Just make sure it is packed well....0
