That aside, there have always been those who have made that same claim for close to 2000 years. I suppose one should consider that maybe this time they are correct. Try the NIV...it's a direct translation from over 2500 ORIGINAL MANUSCRIPTS. No translations of translations here...these originals are thousands of years old.0 -
ECC, Does that mean that the Old testament part of NIV reads the same as the Hebrew(Jewish) Bible or is it STILL different.And of course the New testament writings all are still copies of copies of copies etc. because there are no origionals in existance and haven't been for over 1000 years. The oldest existing New testament writing is a fragment of St. John's that is smaller in size than a dollar bill. And who are these folks that did the work on the NIV? Yes I did google NIV. And found that some New testament writing or parts of NT writing were left out because some of those folks didn't like what was said. 0 -
