I want to penetrate a 4x4 lumber

What caliber and ( I will be reloading) how much powder should I use to penetrate a 4x4 treated lumber
I want it to go clean through with as little damage to the head as possible.
It will be shot at close range
Can this be done

  Pretty much any .30 cal FMJ round should do this with out a problem.
  
  A buddy of mine use to shoot through old phone poles with his SKS.

  I've shot through 8" buckeye trees with a Mosin Nagant.
  
  Would not have a problem with a 4x4

  I got some surplus steelcore rounds for my mosin and they'll shoot through anything mothernature produces, just about!
