How about just opening a can of tuna, mixing a little relish with it, a little mayo and making a tuna sandwich! Not too difficult and beats the crappy fast food burgers.[;)]

Since the wife got out of the hospital she's been recovering very well, but she's been pretty much living on soup and can't (won't) do any cooking. For me it's been a choice of quickie burgers, take-out or starvation. I'm not very good at starvation.

Today I made something I haven't made in a long time. You take the largest platter that will fit into the microwave (microwave safe platter, of course) and put a layer of Tortilla Chips or Nachos on the platter. Put a chunk of sharp cheddar on each chip and one or two slices of jalapeno on the cheese. Nuke it for a minute.

That was so good I thought about doing it again, but I just did the Campbell's tomato soup trick. One can of Campbell's tomato soup into a bowl, then almost a can of water into same bowl. Stir with a fork. Nuke it for four minutes. Add some Texas Pete red sauce, black pepper, salt and fill the bowl the rest of the way with corn chips.

It didn't make a bad snack, and I'm a little sick of quickie burgers and take-out. I'm thinking the next time I'm in the grocery store I'll see if they have black pepper corn. I think that might go well with the tomato soup.

They call those "nachos" here in Texas.

    Try this -

Smear some refried beans over the chips, then add the cheese, and the jalepenos. After it gets melted in the microwave, maybe a little sour cream on top.

Dos XX or Negra Modelo in a frosty glass. Put on the album "Tres Hombres" by ZZ Top and chow down!

    DAY-UM!

    Elvis would be proud...

Pour some chili and a couple cans of vienna sausages on top of that and chow down.

I feel for you brother. Do you like Tacos?, just brown some beef and drain the fat and add some seasoning and a little water, fill the shells, add cheese and whatever you like. What about Indian round steak, I mean, bologna sandwiches with tomato? Too bad you don't live by me in Oklahoma or I could show you how to cook about anything. My wife is 26 and when you marry a beautiful young sweet girl there is a price to be payed. For me that price is that I cook alot and do alot of dishes.

Take your mac and cheese, open the tuna and mix it in then add a can of peas. To make it better mix in chips and place in a pan and bake in oven

Sounds good, But Tobe never takes chances. I always throw a couple Vlasic Pepperoncini peppers on the plate as an appetizer...Then even a 25 cent Marquis' bean and cheese burrito is a meal fit for a king!!!!!
