Yipppppeeeeeeee!
This is my 500th post!!!!!!!
Last night I attended my first Friends of the NRA banquette. As those of you who have attended them know it is a lot of fun. For those of you who have never attended one, do go if for no other reason than there are lots of guns there, and you are supporting the educational wing of the NRA.
So I walked around with my tickets looking at all the goodies and the different games one can play. Never having been to one before I didn't have much money with me. I paid $100.00 for the dinner and raffle tickets and had $15.00 left over.
There was a card game for $20.00. You payed your money and got to pick a card from the deck. If you won, you had your choice of either a S&W .45 auto or a stainless steel .30/30 lever action. Nope, didn't have $20, oh well. Sure would have liked that .45. Note to self bring more money next time.
Another game was a dice game. For $5 the person who rolled the most ones (1) in 5 rolls won a .17HMR Bolt action rifle . Cool, I bought 3 chances. My best was 8.
My twenty raffle tickets went primarily to the 12ga over/under shotgun. That would be fun to have as well.
At this point I was out of money so I just enjoyed dinner, meeting new people and hanging out with gun nuts.
At the end of the evening they announced the winners of the raffles and games. And I had won http://www.savagearms.com/93r17BTVS.htm
AND, since this is my 500 post milestone I am picking the winners of the 90 gr. 9mm bullets this Sunday.
Oh yeah, I'm doing the happy Snoopy dance.
