quote:But Jr. is only earning what a NASCAR driver makes.

Yeah, Jr. brings home exactly the same amount of money as Ward Burton and Dave Blaney and Robby Gordon!

I can't figure that one out! Help!

quote:Sr. had 4 other kids besides the one with Teresa and not one of them has gotten CRAP of thier fathers company or of his wealth! And that is just wrong in my book!

Yeah, and it's ALL Teresa's fault! Heck, sounds to me like Sr. is to blame for that one. Don't you think, if he really intended for them to get any part of his "empire", he would have made dang sure it was written into his will that way?

Don't take anything I have written as personal, GRD. I love nascar. i wish the other "big" sports could generate the emotions nascar does. It would make them so much more interesting! If people rooted for NFL or MLB teams with the same passion as fans of nascar rooted for "their" drivers, they wouldn't have any problems!

EDIT...I figured it out...VAGUE! Now I see what you were trying to say. I was trying to remember if Sr. had any kids named "vage!"

    VAGUE. That is the spelling![:D]

The fishy part about how VAGUE Sr's will was is that it was Teresa's lawyers who did his will.

Also Sr. was self admitted that he was not very wise in the ways of buisness and such, and that was much of the reason that Teresa handled most of that end of the company and the assets.

I never knew Sr. so I can't speak with perfect knowladge, but with everything I have heard and read about the type of person he was I seriously doubt that he would not have wanted his kids to not recieve a thing from his assets and the company. He was to kind hearted for that.

His intimidator image was for the track! Off the track I have been told (by people who did know him) that he was one of the most careing people you would ever meet.

And it is a DAMN shame that the affairs of such a kind hearted person has turned into such a nasty fued when he can no longer give any say in the matter![V][:(][V][:(]

Looks like he's leaving DEI but the rumors about him bringing JR motorsports to the Cup haven't happened yet. He's looking for a team to drive for. His comments about his dad joining his final team at the age of 32 (Jr is 32) makes me think that maybe he will drive for Childress.[:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

He stated in the confrence that he still felt the #3 is his dads number and that he has no real desire to drive that number, but would if that is what came to pass.

He also talked about having to make enough money to support his mom in the future. When he thinks about the marketing money that driving the #3 will bring, he won't look back! Personally, I think it's Sr.'s number. It will only bring too much pressure on Jr if he runs it.

It's the Earnhart number. DOesn't matter if it's Jr. or WAS Sr. Jr. gets into a Black #3 it's his car. Yes, the marketing and money would be there. It would do more for marketing NASCAR than muck of anythink else.

    Just saw this on Jayski.

Dale Jr. to RCR? done deal? UPDATE #33? FOX25(Boston's FOX affiliate) is reporting.......Dale Earnhardt Jr. will soon be racing under the same legendary #3 Chevy that his dad used to race in. A source with direct knowledge of negotiations tells FOX25 that Dale Earnhardt Jr. has finalized a deal with Richard Childress Racing Thursday night and an official announcement will be coming soon. At a press conference today to announce that he was leaving the company his late dad built, Dale Jr. said he would have mixed emotions about driving his dad's #3 Chevy, but again, FOX25 has learned that this is a done deal.(FOX25)(5-10-2007)
UPDATE: FOX8 News has confirmed Junior is negotiating late Thursday night with Richard Childress to join Richard Childress Racing. An announcement could come as early as Friday. Childress has scheduled a news conference Friday at Darlington Raceway, the site of Saturday's Nextel Nextel Cup race. Sports Director Rich Brenner has also confirmed the talks between Junior and Childress include plans for Earnhardt driving the #33 Chevrolet for RCR. Budweiser, the primary sponsor for Junior's #8 car with DEI, will follow him to his new race team. (FOX8 News)(5-11-2007)

I still think he is exploreing starting his own cup team pretty heavy.

That would be the only reason I could see in him delaying talking to other teams as his sister does most of his negotiating as his manager.

The big question on this would be if he could get enuff cars (chassis) in this short of a time to start in febuary. I doubt that he could get a development team hired and going to get them in time, so he would have to buy some chassis from someone to get it started.

Yesterday before the race DW also made a comment on a possible new sponcer being in the works even though Bud has said that they would follow Jr.

What ever is going on Jr. is doing a GREAT job at keeping people guessing! And I'm sure that is part of his plan to make sure whatever he does lands him with great rides and the best money!

Wow if Nascar keeps it up they might just bump Roller Derby up a notch from the bottom....
Actually any real man would perfer Roller Derby over a this sport that USED to be racing. Every time I see Nascar on TV it occurs to me that the drive home on the freeway is the equivalent of dring 200mph on pit road.... they need to run every lap right thru there.... then it would almoat be as trilling as the drive home from work. And for some real excitement have a dozen grannys diving 35 mph and a couple of nerds with pop bottle bottom eye glasses going 55 in the fast lane..... Of ocurse it still wouldn't be better than the drive home, because as we all know, 50% of the people on the road are either on booze, dope and/or perscription drugs....And if there is a wreck they don't stop the race the detour your but some place like gang banger alley were if screw up and tick someone off you have to dodge an invisable cloud of 9mm slugs as well....
Nascar = Holy Bore Batman it can't even complete with the excitement of the drive home from work.....
Yep Roller Derby is far more thrilling to watch.......Cheaper toooooooooo.....
