ABC World news just called Barry Bonds "the greatest home run hitter" that is not true, he may have hit the most thus far BUT HE IS NOT THE GREAtest HOME RUN HITTER!!! HE IS A MAGGOTT! they called it a sad dat for baseball, it was a sad day when they banned Pete Rose for gambling! gambling=no no, steroids to help you cheat=we will look into it
I whole-heartedly agree!! Chally-Hustle was/IS one of the BEST damn ball-player their will EVER be!!!

I grew up watching Pete.. I am a life long Reds fan...I love Pete as a player...one of the best ever...
But I saw Mays and Williams play too!!! There are definitely a few better than Rose!!!!

Pete Rose is practically in a league by himself when it comes to being an all around player. When I think of him, I can't for whatever reason, help but think of the greatest ball players of all times, like Tyrus Raymond Cobb, or The Babe.

Everyone seems to block out the fact that Pete also holds the record for making the most outs in MLB history as well...Fact!!!
And While he had one of the longest hitting streaks he also had one of the worst slumps as well... He did make the greatest catch I have ever seen while playing in Philly!!

Anyone remember that catch! Foul pop up 1st base line.. catcher loses it in the lights ball goes in and out of his mit. Pete still charging does the ole belly slide and cathes the ball with just an inch be for it hits the ground!!! Been watching the game for fifty years never seen a more impressive catch!!! Oddly enough I have never seen a hi-lite of the catch, ever!!!
