Has anyone else notice the surge of newbies on GB in the past few weeks?
I'm not knocking the new people. I think their great the more the better. I think the more we have on GB the more diverse we are. Not that we're not already.
I can only hope that the surge of new people on GB is a sign of maybe more people taking up the hobby of gun ownership.
I like to welcome all the new people to GB and don't forget to not be too thin skin.0 -

I've invited some to give us a whirl - and I'm happy to report they have and
seem to like us.

No, of course my friend, they are not - my competiters are
smart but I don't count them among my close friends. Next
week I am traveling 2000 miles/51 years to regroup with
several of my old friends. Then to Philadelphia, Delware,
Maryland and Florida to reunite again with more old friends.
.... then I shall return exausted and rest - friendless again.

Zipperzap, when you go to delaware, tell me about it when you come back. Not reallyhomesick but would like to hear something about my old little first state. 0 -

Would this be a trip back to your growing up neighborhood ??
My (poor attempt) at math would tend to indicate that you're going back to when you were around 10 or 11.
Have a great trip, and y'all be safe.

Very poor, A1 - actually I left Philadelphia - setting out in the family Conestoga Wagon for
a two year breather stop in MI - and then on again to the Great Golden State beyond the
Rocky Mountains and the Great Western Deserts.
Although, I left Phila when I was a mere lad of 8Yrs., I continually returned as our families
remained in/and around (The Main Line) the City of Brotherly love - and most are (buried) there, still.
I guess I spent the majority of every summer there - and S. Jersey until well into the 60's.
Traditionally, I never give up a friend - it's kind of a life-hobby of mine - so I have a lot
of friends there.
I'm going to be in Wilmington and Middletown, Delaware. I used to cavort with the owners of the old Governor's mansion, there. My dad knew a few of the DuPonts, too. Don't mean much to anyone who is not familiar with Delaware. I'll take pics.
... and there you have it - yes, it's going to be perhaps 5% business and 95% talking that last (who knows - it may be) walk down my personal Memories Lane!
The best part is that I'll be there for the Great Eastern Autumn - ain't nothing like it, anywhere!

[8D]--Yo Zip, while you are in Maryland, go by and gander at the NATIONAL INSTITUTE of HEALTH--
--My daughter and her husband were invited for one year (1997) I think, about the time of the East coast SNIPER saga--
--they were in their 3rd yr of medical school--
--Then on to Wikiki (Honolulu medical ctr) and now at The University of California San francisco (UCSF)Medical CTR for internship--
--Have a good safe trip

It happens every election. About a year away from super Tuseday they come out of the wood work and start spreading their venom.[;)]
