Without any doubt whatsoever you should give that fine fowling piece to me since I was born in Heidelburg[;)][:D]

That's a fine piece! Check out the gold inlay around the breech. Where in the world did you come up with it? Who would want to part with it?

One of my father's friends brought it to me and asked me to "find out what I can about it." He is known for selling....so I bet I end up listing it IF I can get an idea of what the sale would bring.

Did you check with the "ask the experts" side? I have an old Kettner with gold and silver inlays, damascus barrels, ect. that my g-pa brought back from WW2. The "ask the experts" folks gave me some good info and places to get more info. Good luck.

Just got it up on that side...they may be able to tell me something about it.....hopefully. Shurely there isn't a trend here....1st the Steyr and now a Heidelburg!

It has set triggers.....why would a shotgun have that?

Set triggers? Just looks like two triggers ... one of each barrel, right?

    She's a beauty!

The rear trigger is normal...but the front trigger sets to a SUPER LIGHT trigger when you push it foreward before pulling it.

I learn something every day, at least I hope so! But that does make your question as to the "Why?" of putting set trigger on a shot gun a very good question. Popping head off a turkey at 100 yards? But the pattern would be huge even on a 16 GA ... maybe with pretty large diameter shot?

...no help here, but it is really nice looking!

... Damasscuss barrels tend to blow up under modern ammo pressures(?), so I would double check into that aspect of it and be sure to mention it's not a "shooter" in my description; as you know the fools that abound on the net...[;)]

I just noticed that the Monte Carlo stock is on the wrong side for me (I'm a lefty) ... oh yes, it is not a shooter! What was I thinking ... I sure do enjoy looking at the pictures though!
