Just the facts.I lost my sister 26 years ago when she was shot and killed by her boyfriend when she was in college. Took her three weeks to die. I would have gladly traded places with her .She was a bright and beautiful person.I went anti(gun) for awhile. I know what these people are going through.I`ve been there and done that. I don`t think my coments are sick. Just stating the obvious facts. 0 -

I don't see anything wrong with your posts. What happened today was terrible, a tradgedy, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't move on. It happened, and nothing will ever change what has already happened.

Sooper, your comments were not out of line a bit. This a good thread by somebody "who has been there, done that" and didnot lose focus that it was not the gun, but the person that did this.
I will not "say good-bye" without doing all in my power to prevent it from happening. This sad to say, but, if we are all unarmed what will kepp this from happening on a wider scale? The "bad guys" will always have theirs. Glad I am gunsmith so I can build mine.

This post was not out of line at all and I'm very sorry to hear about your sister. You are to be commended that after that, you still have the common sense to realize the gun was not to blame. Bad people are to blame. The only thing we can hope for is that the bad people are captured or killed before they can hurt the good.
Thinking about the repurcussions of this incident is very normal on this board and between any gun enthusiasts. The antis didn't waste any time going on the attack.0 -

We are in trouble. Since HR1022, I've been "stocking" up on hi-caps for all my firearms. I'm ordering a 75rd drum for my AKs tomorrow from SOG, priced at $99. Will buy a Beta C-Mag for my ARs in about 2 weeks...that is if its still legal after today's incident.0 -

there are several different way to look at things pertaing this
tragedy.
1) If ccw was legal, would this chump have even attempted this..?
2) Were the guns this chump carried "legal" guns..?
3) If this guy had an ax to grind with this school, and guns were
not available, mightn't he have used high explosives...possibly
killing and injuring many more..?
There are many more, and hope this is all taken into consideration
by the powers that be.
Just happened to think - If they try more gun control than already in
place...how many citizens may just think "enough of this chit" and go

FWIW, I'm not going to sit back and speculate for the immediate future that "gun control" is strengthened as it can surely become the self-fullfilling prophecy for all of us.
Let these parents and families grieve and bury their dead before we rally 'neath our battle flags. Right now, the LEO's and college admins are circling their wagons, trying to deflect much of the criticism already aimed at them. There's a lot of big arses in need of some serious covering right now. The issue of gun laws is not at the top of their collective list.
Not every person - by far - who is shocked and horrified by today's events is against legitimate and responsible gun ownership. Let this play out a bit as I'm expecting some very surprise dialogue from both sides of the aisle.

This horrific event will 100% certain add enormous fuel to the left anti-gun crowd, count on it. The wrong-thinking fools know to use this act and use it now, while public awareness is(or will be) at an all time high. You just watch !!!!
Further, over the next couple of months I think I will accelerate my ammo and hardware inventories to all time highs.

I agree with most of the above, and I am not ready to give up my guns without a fight.But if the shooter WAS NOT USING CLIP FED SEMI- AUTOS, lets say he had a single shot,would we be looking at all this carnage? Sure he could have blown up the whole campus, but he chose to do it up close and personal.[}:)]
This is the area they will attack first,semi-automatic weapons.

I have heard both positive and negative reports about this incident. Horrible ? Yes! One reporter on NBC even said that if maybe one of the people in that school had been armed it might not have esculated into what it did. On Fox News It was argued the Pros and Cons about more people being allowed to carry . The only negative I heard on Fox so far was, "If more people carried guns, how are the police gonna know the bad guy in any given situaton"? My answer would be the "Good" guy aint gonna be shooting back at the cop.. 0 -

We need to WRITE our Congressmen. Don't call them. Don't e-mail them. Spend five minutes of time and 39 cents and WRITE them. Tell them to vote against HR1022.
You're going to see a lot of fuel in the fire now, pushing hard for passage of this law. Our Congressmen need to hear from us and know that we do not support this law.

I don't think so.... everytime an idiot strikes the more people wise up to their need to be protected. Heck the only reason some of these loud mouthed anti-gunners haven't jumped on the CCW bandwagon is because they make their living off of stupid people and they might actually have to get a real job!!!!0 -
