google earth question

This is GOOGLE Earth over view of some of my property. The tag says it was taken in 2011. That can't be. There is a diagonal mowed path in the field in the upper right that runs between two pine trees directly to the "condo" hunting blind. I mowed that path in late October of this year. Are GOOGLE Earth images constantly updated by more current satellite images?

    does anyone know how to get a mileage calculation by two distances on there ? i know if you have a personal GPS device you can just get the coordinates from the site and plot them but what if you dont ?

    Have you rotated the map to get a ground level view of a trip? Gives you the illusuon of driving right down the highway!!! Very cool!!
