    In ALMOST, and notice I said ALMOST, every country, one can believe as they want, so if they choose to bow down to, or worship a slug, so what?...who cares what everyone believes...is it hurting you in any way?

    Agree. That's what the first amendment is all about. You don't have to agree or even respect their made-up religion but you have to respect their right to worship it.

    After awhile, I left.

    Interestingly, their school for brainwashing kids is right aceoss the valley from me - the delphian school.

    They once attempted to murder me.

    I drove by the main church in Clearwater, theyre buying up all the property, and driving any business that isnt scientologist owned out. Theyre goal is to own all of Clearwater, Florida. They picked it because of the name CLEARwater, A clear is what they al strive to be, not controlled by stuff from their past and only positive things in the future is what they hope for. The brainwashing is to get rid of the bad things, or as they call them Engrams, which are memories, of bad things from your past. They figure bad things from your past will make you do bad things or act negatively int he future. I hate all scientologists and wouldnt mind if someone fire bombed the so called "church" of scientology.

    That statement is why there is so much hatred in the world....Has to be "your" way, "your" beliefs, etc...Cant have anything else, there is only one way to believe, to live etc...

    How how you would feel if the word scientologisits was substituted with the word gun owner etc....Still feel the same way? Or change it to catholics, baptists etc..

    I dont believe that their is any higher power. I think people should believe in themselves, instead of waiting for some mythical person to send help from above. When something good happens to some one, they thank god, they should be thanking themselves. As for substituting the word gun-owners for scientologists, im sure there is some one out there that has those beliefs, am i not entitled to my beliefs and opinions?

    Could be worse. Not as violent as head chopping Islam, and much, much funnier. At least the Scientologists only hassle, threaten and sue people that mock them.

    for people who dont believe in higher powers, makes them the higher power. its very common for mankind to believe himself to be God. afterall, we were made in Gods image, even down to the desire to be the higher power. to ensure man would not become confused, God told us, " I AM THE LORD YOUR GOD. THOU SHALL NOT HAVE ANY OTHER GODS BUT ME."
    God answers to no one.
    funny isnt it? its exactly what man wants...the ability to NOT answer to anyone, even to this day.
    the conflict occurs when more than one man desires not to answer to anyone. in a sense, you have a million gods running around trying to have their way. its why criminals dont obey laws. they make their own up. its also why you have 600 crazy religions.

    personally, i find it a lot easier to BELIEVE what God has instructed us to do...TRUST IN HIM.
    let me give you all some advice, if God says he likes something, go in that direction. if God says he doesnt like something, dont go there.
    so, with that said, when Jesus was baptized, God parted the clouds said..."THIS IS MY SON WHOM I AM WELL PLEASED," if you want world order, go in that direction!![;)]

    Have the Scientologists actually sued anyone, really? I know they threaten everyone with legal action. Even Stan on South Park. Remember when folks were speculating about Front Site and Piazza being a Scientologist...I think there were threats of suits there too.

    I'm trying to figure out, on what basis any competant attorney could sue anyone else for SAYING that someone else is a member of a church or believes in something.

    If I walk up to someone name "Moishe" who has curly locks and wears a Yarmulke, and say "Me and someone were talking about you the other day and I meantioned that you are a Jew." He certainly can't sue me.
    The truth is an affirmative defense to allegations of defamation. Although, why merely MENTIONING someone's beliefs would or could be considered defamation or slander puzzles me greatly.
