MARIJUANA FILLED FIREWOOD
"MARIJUANA FILLED FIREWOOD"
"Hello, is this the Sheriff's Office?"
"Yes. What can I do for you?"
"I'm calling to report 'bout my neighbor Virgil Smith. He's hidin' marijuana inside his firewood! Don't quite know how he gets it inside them logs, but he's hidin' it there."
"Thank you very much for the call, sir."
The next day, twelve Sheriff's Deputies descend on Virgil's house. They search the shed where the firewood is kept.
Using axes, they bust open every piece of wood, but find no marijuana.
They sneer at Virgil and leave.
Shortly, the phone rings at Virgil's house.
"Hey, Virgil! This here's Floyd....Did the Sheriff come?"
"Yeah!"
"Did they chop your firewood?"
"Yep!"
"Happy Birthday, buddy!"

We had a guy in our home town that said somebody was stealing his firewood. The sheriff did nothing so the guy drilled out a stick of firewood with a 1 in. wood bit and put a baggie of blackpowder in it and put a plug back in the stick. About two days later we got a call that a wood stove exploded. He found out who was stealing his wood and he never lost anymore after that. True story 0 -

my dad used to do the same thing with his drilling equipment. he has to use a large pipe wrench to put his gas cap on so so no-one steals it. and he used to rig a tool box with heavy useless well caps and hammer bits. could weigh up to 30lbs. but has since decided there are too many stupid people who might sue because they tried to break into his stuff[:(!]0 -

The old gunpowder in the firewood trick has been known to, shall we say, "blow up in one's face". 0
