Billy the Cat
Had to be put down today. Poor guy had a sudden outbreak of cancer. Just hit him the last few weeks, been downhill ever since. Hasn't been eating or drinking anything. He was losing weight drastically. he weighed in at just 4.5 lbs. My wife came home today and said he looked terrible. She said he just looked at her as if he was telling her it was time for him to go. When I got home we took him to the vet knowing what needed done. It was tough.
She's taking it really hard and I can't say I haven't shed a few tears myself. He was a damn good cat and no other will ever replace him. He was special in his own way. He was 14 years old and we've had him since a kitten. Going to be hard these next few days. [:(]

I sympathize with your loss. We loss our feline friend of 17 years to cancer in 04. Wife still can't bring herself to get another and will begin to cry if she thinks about Buddy too much. 0 -

Cats are awesome, but fickle. When you have a relationship with one, when one chooses you as well as you choosing him/her, it is one of those rare thing in nature, and not something you can define nor explain.

I'm going through the same thing right now! 14 year old cat with cancer. She's still eating a little but I too will have to do it soon. It's tearing me up.
It's nice to know that there are so many caring people on this board though.0
