I do that with some regularity, the problem is that I have to come back to reality. Family, responsibilities, health maintainance, etc. The attitude adjustment, though not permanent, does wonders. Try it.

If you're looking for balance try alternating,1 nite of TV and 1 nite of reading,I'de start with the book Ecclesiastes but you can read what you wish. Then as a test of what you retain, when you get up in the morning try to remember what you watched on TV and/or read.Writing down what you remember will make the whole experience more effective.

I used to wander off into the woods for weeks sometimes when it wasn't a commercial fishing season in Oregon and Alaska. Lots of public land up there to lose yourself. Now I live in Texas and it seems like everything is owned and to get on that property you have to pay 2000 a year for the lease. [:(]

Yep. TV is the work of Satan and a serious waste 99.9% of the time. And, I'm not so sure of the other .1% There's a reason it's been called the Opiate of the Masses. It's true goal is to sell you stuff that you really don't need.
